Can you give detailed description of partialand full bowel obstruction . Will I have gas, where pain felt , can I take Ex-Lax ? Been 20 days since bm.
Sounds ok: Taking an ex lax once every 10 days is just 3 times a month, which sounds ok to do. The concern would be regarding the cause of the constipation. One's primary care doctor can look for the cause, and if nothing serious is found, then occasional laxative use is fine to do. Try drinking lots of water with prune juice, magnesium citrate, stay active etc. If symptom persists, see a GI for possible colonoscopy.Perhaps pain meds ur taking and insufficient fluid intake are contributing to ur symptom.
