Started getting vertigo when changing from citalopram 20mg to buspirone 7.7mg, could dimenhydrinate help?
Vertigo may b part: Of a cluster of symptoms experienced when an SSRI (ie; Citalopram), is stopped (in ur case, to start Buspar, (buspirone) another anti-anxiety med). However, vertigo can be caused by a multiplicity of physical illnesses that range from infection, to head trauma or stroke. C ur MD to have the underlying cause of ur vertigo id'ed & treated. Dimenhydramate may help 4 nausea, but cause of vertigo must b uncovered!
Don't drive: Those two medications are both capable of sedation and slowing your reaction time. Mixing them is risky if you're doing anything that requires good attention and reaction time.See 1 more doctor answer
Should be okay: Be careful however, as the two together may make you extra drowsy.
Not recommended: Gravol is a combination of diphenhydramine, a sedating antihistamine, and chlorotheophylline, a mild stimulant, which is added to counteract the sleep-inducing effects and allow use during the day as an anti-nausea treatment. Because of this, it's not very effective for insomnia, and may actually have the opposite effect, disturbing sleep later in the night.See 1 more doctor answer
Sailor's answer: no: The drug often does not mix well with alcohol as the side-effects (s/e) of both the rx and the alcohol are magnified. The common s/e of dramamine (dimenhydrinate) are the three ds: dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth. There are many other side-effects listed including severe allergic reactions and even death but I believe the three ds are the most common s/e. Look up the drug and precautions on drugs. Com.
Please advise if it's bad to take dramamine (dimenhydrinate) less drowsy 25mg and 10 mg of zzzquil?
Avoid mixing: It is always preferable to use single products instead of mixing multiple medicines, for safety sake. Depending on your problem, you should choose one or the other...Dramamine (dimenhydrinate) for motion sickness (less commonly just for insomnia) or zzzquil for sleep and cold symptoms. Hope you feel better soon.
Can I take. 5 Ativan 5 1/2 hours after taking 2 chewable Dramamine (dimenhydrinate)? I am Having bad anxiety
Is it ok to take a dramamine with half a xanax (alprazolam). 0.25 is the Xanax (alprazolam) dose but I take half of one.
Yes: I believe the dose of xanax (alprazolam) that you are taking is so low that I am not sure it is even therapeutic. The dose of dramamine you should take is 12.5 mgm. Dramamine (meclizine) over the counter is usually 25 mgm. So do not drive if you take both of these drugs. In short, I believe you can take both drugs if you take the lower dose of dramamine (12.5 mgm.).
I would not.: Both tend to make you drowsy or woozy, and thus there will be an additive effect that could make you very sleepy or knock you out. Hope this helps!
I took alavert 24 hr last night at 11 its 11 am now and I going on a car ride can I take a dramamine (dimenhydrinate)?
Is there anything besides dramamine (dimenhydrinate) I can take for air sickness? Flying-or more specifically, the descent-always makes me nauseous.
Many options: 1. Consider ginger 500 mg-1, 000 mg before flight. 2. Prescription antinausea medicine zofran (ondansetron) works well and does not cause drowsiness. 3. Scopolamine patches are a bit drastic (last 72 hours unless removed) but do work 3. Minimize air sickness: sit over wings on plane for smoothest ride, eat lightly, avoid alcohol, avoid reading, keep eyes closed and meditate or listen to music.See 1 more doctor answer
