Is it bad to take a baclofen in the morning and bedtime? Or is that too much? I find it helps a lot more with getting though my day.

Depends on…: Strength of the pills you're taking. Maximum daily dose is 80 mg; daily dose is usually 3-4 times a day; so if you're taking 10 or 20 mg twice a day, you're still in the safe range. However, u should discuss any dosing changes with your doc before making such changes. ...Read more

What's the highest dose of baclofen that can be taken. I take 100 mg a day now for spasticity.?

Recommended dosages: The package insert says the max daily dosage is 80mg. I have had patients take as much as 120mg per day. That is not the norm. Dosages above 80mg per day frequently cause more side effects (drowsiness, dizziness, mausea, confusion) than benefit. You and your doctor are the best judge on the optimal dose, but I suspect you are reaching the limit of what will work without adverse events. ...Read more

Dr prescribed baclofen to take as needed. Worried from the withdrawal symptoms I've read. Worried she prescribed it wrong?

Ok to wait: Back often is a muscle relaxer. It is not a life saving medication. I cannot think of any situation in which not taking it would pose a long term risk. If you are concerned wait and talk to your doctor. This type of medication is always about balancing risk and benefit. Most patients tolerate back often well, do not have withdrawal problems, and get relief from muscle spasm. ...Read more
