Not good idea: There are 2 reasons for kidney pain, infection and trauma (stone movement). In many cases there is a hemorrhage in the kidney (aspirin has anticoagulant effect). I am taking Plavix (clopidogrel) and I will have to add some Aspirin for a month. I have erosive gastritis. What should I do?
All depends: The most important factor is why you are taking the Plavix (clopidogrel). Some indications such as peripheral artery disease may not be as strong as others, i.e.recent stroke. Erosive gastritis is a serious risk for bleeding; your doctor(s) will want to weight the benefit of Plavix (clopidogrel)/aspirin against the risk for you. OIC: Opioids block the bowl opioid receptors. Hence most of the standard medications really do not work well. Certainly you can try them. The best is a specific bowel opioid antagonist called MOVANTIK 25mg per day. This works well and does not cross the blood brain barrier so the pain relief will still be there.
