How much time will a thigh tattoo stay sore for?

How much time will a thigh tattoo stay sore for?

Why do you ask?: If you're going to get a tattoo, it's critical that you be certain that this is what you want. I have two, both extremely personal and precious to me. If you have to ask how long they will be sore (not long), then I suspect that you are not ready or this is not the right choice. Please wait until you know for sure. ...Read more

I got a tattoo over a week ago and parts of it are still sore and very warm to the tough. It's now getting itchy. What do I do?

R/o skin infection: The worst thing is to scratch when the scabs are itchy. Apply bacitracin ointment three times a day to the affected area of skin. Watch for pus draning from any open sores. Pain, redness and warmth are signs of infection. but sometimes healing process can also cause inflamation. Best to be safe and clean the area with antiseptics regularly and use antibiotics topically until healed. ...Read more

I have a sore penis, and growth on my pelvis. I just got a tattoo, and had an epidermal cyst removed. What could be the problem?

Depends: Where did you get the tatoo and where was the cyst? The growth would need to be seen to be evaluated. The sore penis... Is it sore to the touch, sore to pee, sore all of the time? Depending on where the pain is and type of pain, it could be anything from an infection to trauma. ...Read more

Got tattoo on inner wrist. It is day 6 & now hand & arm is sore & feels stiff. Tattoo looks & feels fine. No signs of infection. Is stiffness normal?

Sore wrist: This is not a normal reaction to tattooing pigment. For that use a wrist splint. Does not sound like a complication of pregnancy. Send more info since many Dxs cause these symptoms. ...Read more

I have a tattoo that was done by an amateur on my upper left arm 9 years ago. Sometimes, but not always, it burns and is tender to the touch.

I have a tattoo that was done by an amateur on my upper left arm 9 years ago. Sometimes, but not always, it burns and is tender to the touch.

Bad ink: It was likely done with a conveniently available "ink" that is not meant for human / skin contact. Your body is reacting to it, and it will likely get worse over time, eventually eroding to the surface. See a dermatologist or plastic surgeon who can help--likely by abrading down to the ink or lasering it to see if stabilizes. Good luck! ...Read more

I have a tattoo on my thigh that was for about 4 months ago now and I'm still feeling tenderness and aching around my leg. Could this be nerve damage?

Leg pain: It is plausible that with tattoo could have damaged a peripheral nerve. Is there any swelling at the site? It could be infected as well. I suggest that you see a local physician to have this site examined. I did a sabbatical in the UK 15 years ago, so I know the difficulty in scheduling an appointment at the NHS. ...Read more
