Hi I'm having sever back pain due to straining a muscle. Can I combine baclofen and Iboprofen together for the pain? I am using diazepam 5 mg bd too
You should not . . .: Good evening. You should not mix and match your medications without first contacting your doctor (the ones who prescribed these to you). Also, in my experience, Diazepam is as good a muscle relaxant as Baclofen (if not better). Either can be taken with Ibuprofen. Best of luck. ...Read more

Can i take sinalgen (hydrocodone bitartrate and acetaminophen) and nimesulide before a herniated disc l5-s1 surgery?. I take this 2 for pain
Varies: The hydrocodone product is ok to take right up to surgery with the exception that most anesthesiologists prefer a patient not to take anything by mouth approx 6 hours before surgery. The nimesulide is an NSAID which inhibits inflammation, but also inhibits platelet fxn leading to risk of increased bleeding. I usually recommend no NSAID for 7 days preop, but surgeons preferences vary. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Can HGH be used to treat chronic pain? I am currently on Celebrex (celecoxib) and Tramadol for my pain and refused to use heavy narcotics
How long is it safe to use Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) for pain relief? I've had excruciating pain from mouth ulcer on back of tongue for a while, doc prescribed Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen).
Pain: Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) should only be used for short term pain relief. I would say 4 to 5 days max. How long have you had this pain? Was it an MD or DDS that looked at the sore and gave you the Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen)? Mouth ulcers should heal within 7 to 10 days and rarely are they painful enough to take strong narcotics. I would recommend that you see your dentist. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My pm doctor wants to switch me from Methadone to Nucynta (tapentadol) for fibromyalgia pain relief. I'm also taking Cymbalta. I don't feel like Nucynta (tapentadol) will work ?
Research suggests: That use of narcotics in fibromyalgia may be a bad choice in the end and drugs such as Cymbalta, Savella, (milnacipran) and Lyrica offer better longterm success. Yet, the Methadone needs to be handled, and a better switch at this stage would involve suboxone. I agree with you, going to Nucynta may not be a wise decision. Try to see a pain specialist. ...Read more
