Can I Substitute Safflower Oil For Vegetable Oil
Dear dr. What happens when we cook food with vegetable oil? Specially for frying. The bad side of health. What is your advices? Please enlight me.
Healthy ones: Try using olive oil and low saturated oils such as grape seed oil. Also peanut and sunflower oils are good as well.

REALLY UNHEALTHY!!!: This is recipe for disaster. Potatoes are in the environmental working group's dirty dozen foods-they're high in pesticides if not organic & are readily converted to sugar so raise blood sugar, causing weight gain & increased risk of diabetes. Generic "vegetable oil" is almost certainly corn, soy or canola which are all gmo if not organic & very toxic, fried potatoes have carcinogenic acrylamides.

Sort of, REALLY BAD: Technically french fries/chips are vegetables but are also junk food. When people are advised to eat veggies these aren't what's meant & don't count as credit towards servings. Why do I get really irrational anger/rage after I eat food that is fried in vegetable oil? Why am I a rare case? Is there an underlying problem?

Yes.: Olive oil contains oleic acid (monounsaturated fatty acid) ; several antioxidants. It fights heart disease (lowers triglycerides, ldl; protects it from free radicals ; raises hdl), also diabetes ; cancer. Best is cold pressed, first pass, unfiltered olive oil in dark bottles, used raw (mediterranean diet). For cooking use coconut oil, palm oil (healthy saturated fats) or ghee (clarified butter).
Olive oil: Is by far the better oil for any use. Vegetable oils can contain a mix of oils and get solid at room temp. One has to read the label carefully to understand way we are actually consuming w/vegetable oil. Peace and good health.
Veg oil: Veg oil can lessen constipation a bit but other factors can prevail. Fiber is essential. The ingested oil will be absorbed but IF you consume lots of fiber, then fiber can adsorb some the oil and pass. Consume oatmeal, apple, pear, apricot, prune, bran, lots of liquid, and veg oil will have impact. Dried prune or apricot can be easy. High fiber oatmeal is easy.
My doc said to use vegetable oil as a lubricant for sex, because I react to regular lubricants. Is this ok? Are there any nonirritating lubricants?
