As long as your doc: says you are fit to do PE don't worry. The normal response to exercise is tearing of muscle fibers and their regrowth, which builds muscle. We also produce lactic acid when we exercise which can burn. Make sure to cool down after PE or walk briskly for about 10 minutes after school to pump out lactic acid. Lots of water too. Yes in my opinion: I think it is a great idea to alternate muscle groups in the course of a fitness program. The soreness is likely attributable to anaerobic metabolism or Lactic Acid buildup. If it does not resolve within a few days, it could be due to injury. In the meantime i see no contraindications to aerobic or lower body workouts performed in a reasonable fashion. ...Read more

Maximun per Minimum.: If using minimalist shoes is allowing you to achieve you goals with a minimum of disruption, then by all means, they're good for you.
