See ORS: Residual pain and / or instability 5 months after an ankle sprain is not normal. See an ors for evaluation. Sometimes u may have a small 'chip' on your talus, 'scar tissue' forming in your ankle( impingement) or an incompletely healed ankle ligament. Exam, x-rays and MRI can differentiate.
