See Your Doctor Now: Determining the cause of symptoms in a newborn is beyond challenging without visual inspection. Moreover, the stated symptoms alone are non-specific which is typical for newborns therefore the risk of misdiagnosis is great. Much more info is needed such as pre-thru post-natal history, duration, feed/sleep schedule, full description of stools, and more. See your doctor now for proper evaluation. ...Read more

No: It is certainly not too late. Only concern would be if you produce enough milk to meet the demand. Even if formula supplement has to be provided, it is worth trying. Tangible benefits are not only for infants but also for breast-feeding moms. ...Read more

Can a nursing mom pass beano through her breast milk and will it help the baby be less gassy?

Great question!: Sorry, but no. Gassiness in a baby is more due to swallowed air rather than indigestible foods for which the enzymes in beano work. So even if it passed through, your baby would still be gassy. Ask your pediatrician about this, as lactose intolerance usually occurs after weaning. ...Read more

Do cimzia (certolizumab pegol) injectables pass through the placenta barrier and breast milk too?

I do not know of published studies on breast milk, but i would think the same data would hold true! ...Read more
