Pregnancy (Definition)

When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

If i didn't get a positive blood test for pregnancy till i was 10weeks along could it also take the same amount of time if I am in fact pregnant?

Unclear question: Blood test can detect pregnancy within a few days of implantation of the fertilized egg and is generally positive as soon as one day after a missed period. If you are ten weeks pregnant the blood test will be positive. Home pregnancy test will also be positive. ...Read more

Is it likely to get a positive blood test for pregnancy at 8 dpo?

Is it likely to get a positive blood test for pregnancy at 8 dpo?

Patience.: A blood test isn't needed. There's no need to rush. A urine pregnancy test done correctly gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and therefore lead to a repeat test. If a woman has her normal regular period, then she is not pregnant, and a test is not needed. ...Read more

2 positive Urine test and 1 positive blood test for pregnancy, today Nov 19 I have a negative urine test and my period came. Cab I still be pregnant?

2 positive Urine test and 1 positive blood test for pregnancy, today Nov 19 I have a negative urine test and my period came. Cab I still be pregnant?

Hmm, well...: The negative test and fact that your period is now present would go against being pregnant. It does sound as if you were pregnant though in the recent past. Miscarriages are more common than you would think, and maybe your body was not ready for pregnancy. Not definitively sure though, ..you need to see the GYN Doctor as you need an exam to treat you either way. Best wishes, God Bless ...Read more

Hpt positive, blood test negative for pregnancy, two months light brown discharge, what can cause brown discharge instead of normal periods?

I have positive blood test for celiac desease but negative endoscopy, what's going on?

I have positive blood test for celiac desease but negative endoscopy, what's going on?

Biopsy: Endoscopy per se may not show the lesions. Was a biopsy done and tissue examined by a pathologist? Just antibodies may or may not equate to disease. It would be prudent to discuss these issues with your doctor. ...Read more

If I'm symptomatic for disseminated TB, have a positive blood test for TB, negative sputum tests, should I be tested further?

If I'm symptomatic for disseminated TB, have a positive blood test for TB, negative sputum tests, should I be tested further?

Probably not...: I'm not sure what you mean by "symptomatic for disseminated TB". The symptoms of this are the same as for a hundred other medical conditions, infectious and otherwise. If you're not deathly ill, almost certainly you don't have it. A positive blood test doesn't mean much. Discuss with your doctor -- or if you and s/he remain uncertain. ask for consultation by an infectious diseases specialist. ...Read more

I had 1 AA/5 day embryo transferred 12 days ago and got a positive blood test but with a hCG level of 12.2. Is this good or bad?

I had 1 AA/5 day embryo transferred 12 days ago and got a positive blood test but with a hCG level of 12.2. Is this good or bad?

Normal: This level is fine. It means you do have a pregnancy and is within the normal limits we expect to see for a pregnancy around 2 weeks. This number should continue to double every 48-72 hours in a healthy pregnancy. At 3 weeks, you should be anywhere between 5 and 50mIu/mL. Congrats! ...Read more

Took 4 pregnacy test all faint positive. Blood test negative. I think have impantation bleeding(dark brown few days). Possiblity of being pregnant?

Confusing: Blood pregnancy tests are more sensitive than urine tests. On most pregnancy tests, you can see the test area even with a negative test. Also, if you leave the test out for awhile, the test stripe becomes even more visible. Are either of these possibilities? If not, consider another blood pregnancy test. ...Read more

Does stress cause ANA weak positive blood test cause i got a weak positive does it mean i will get an autoamune illness later in life ?

Weak positive?: What blood test are you referring to? Sometimes doctors test for ANA (antinuclear antibody), and results can be confusing. The "weak positive" can be a false one, and may not indicate any autoimmune illness at all. Positive ANA is fairly common, even in healthy people -- 20% of women, and 7% of men! http://tinyurl.Com/mp64o5m if you have no other symptoms, i would not be concerned about it. ...Read more
