Can I Have A Lipoma Removed During Pregnancy
When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more
How quick can a cyst grow? I had my ovary removed due to a cyst, but could this have been prevented if i had a scan sooner
Possible: Cysts can grow rapidly and the size isn't necessarily the reason the entire ovary needs removal. It's more the type of cyst and the chance of it being a tumor or recurring. ...Read more

Large fibroid: I have had patients with 7cm and 8cm fibroids in pregnancy. Two things of importance are 1). If you are not pregnant within a year of trying you should see a fertility specialist and 2). Having such a large fibroid means that you should see an obgyn for scheduled monitoring. If you get pregnant the fibroid will likely not cause you any trouble. ...Read more

I have had two fibroid removal surgeries, which were both done as a laproscopy through the vagina. I still have fibroids. Can I have a baby?
Depends....: That's a hard question to answer in this format. It depends on where the remaining fibroids are located. The closer to the uterine lining, the worse your chances. Also depends on the size of the fibroids and the presence/absence of scar tissue. You really need an evaluation of the uterine cavity (hysteroscopy or sonohystogram or HSG). I recommend you go see a fertility specialist near you. ...Read more
I had a laparoscopy check to see if I have endrometriosis. A 3 CM cyst was found in my ovaries. I don't want to get a general anesthetic when it's removed. Can i get a spinal instead?
Talk to surgeon: This procedure can be done under regional anesthesia, if they do not do it laproscopically. If they do use this technique then a regional anesthesia will not be sufficient. You need to make sure you have discussed your wishes and concerns with the surgeon and anesthesiologist. Good luck. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers
The answer is yes: But it must be performed under local anesthesia. It is dangerous to the developing fetus to undergo either general anesthesia or conscious sedation. Preferably, if you could wait until after the pregnancy, the surgery to remove the accessory nipple would be more comfortable, given that conscious sedation could be safely employed. ...Read more
Does tubal test hurt? I am a virgin. I have an ovarian cyst so i will be undergoing laparoscopic procedure. They will also do the tubal test..
Tubal Test?: I believe you are referring a test to see if your fallopian tubes are patent ( chromopertubation). If done during the laparoscopy you will be under anesthesia and you wont feel it. Obviously you will have some pain from the surgery. Are you trying to get pregnant? Dont see the need for it unless you have problems conceiving. ...Read more

I have a big chocolate cyst in my left ovary and don't want surgery as i had one already for uterine fibroids, can I be pregnant with it?
Possible, not likely: I would recommend removing the endometrioma if you hope to conceive. Its effects are not just destructive to the ovary involved but also deleterious to the entire pelvis and both tubes - which could seriously decrease your fertility. Seek care with a reputable infertility specialist or laparoscopic gynecologist to address this at your earliest convenienc. Take Folic Acid 1-5 mg daile and good luck. ...Read more
