What can I give to my baby 14 months, who has diahrrhea instead of her milk at night?! she needs and wants it still... Water mixed with milk?

DIARRHEA In Children: Every time she has diarrhea, give equal amount of pedialyte, e.G 4-6 ounces. Give bananna, rice, applesauce, chicken/soup, crackers and some yogurt. If diarrhea more than a week, we advise to stop milk, because toxins damages the brush border of intestine, causes temporary lactase deficiency leading to fermented acidic stool, making situation worse. My son is 4 and started with diarrhea since a day ago I gave him baby percy it made it worst what can I give him?

Fluids: Usually we do not recommend medication for diarrhea in children. Most of the time, this is due to a viral illness and will pass without treatment. He needs plenty of fluids, mostly water or Pedialyte, so he does not get dehydrated. If he starts vomiting, runs a fever, has pain, or has blood in the stool, or if his diarrhea is not better in 2-3 days, see a doctor. Good luck! ...Read more
