No.: Quite unlikely. It does grow in the mouth!See 1 more doctor answer
No: Trichomonas is not known to be carried in the oral cavity, and not known to be transmitted by oral sex. This hasn't been carefully researched, so conceivably it is possible. But in my 40 years in the STD business, I have never seen a patient with trich whose only apparent exposure was oral-genital contact. In general, oral sex is much lower risk than vaginal or anal sex for all STDs.See 1 more doctor answer
Can someone get trichomoniasis by having oral sex can someone get trichomoniasis by having oral sex
Not oral sex, but...: Trichomonas is not known to be transmitted by oral sex. However, your girlfriend definitely will get trich from sexual practices that allow exchange of vaginal fluids: genital apposition, fingering or other hand-genital contact, shared sex toys, etc. You should both be treated simultaneously with metronidazole or tinidazole. Good luck!
Agree w Dr. Alves: Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted disease from a parasite called trichomonas vaginalis. Most often women become infected by penis to vaginal contact or vaginal to vaginal contact. It reportedly can infect the mouth ; anus but can not survive in those areas.See 1 more doctor answer
If you've been treated for trichomonas but your partner has not been treated and they perform oral sex on you, could you get trichomonas again?
Hello. I was just infected with trichomoniasis by my husband. He states he got it from receiving oral sex. Is this possible?
Not likely: Trichomonas does not infect the oral cavit, so rarely if ever caught by oral sex. Trich can be carried for years in the vagina and probably in men's genital tract, sometimes diagnosed long after catching it. You may never know when and where you got it. The important thing is both you and husband need treatment. Also test for gonorrhea & chlamydia, which often go along with trich. Good luck!
I tested positive for trichomoniasis in december and was treated. In that time period I was given oral sex by my bf. In may I was tested again and it?

I am a guy and I would like to know could I pass on trichomonas to my girlfriend if she gives me oral sex. Not that I want to deliberately receive it from her she just loves to do it and I don't want to expose her to something that could harm her. Honest
Trichamonas: Before you have any more sex get treated fro trichamonas It is irresponsible to have sex with someone when you have a sexually transmiitted disease. If you are old enough to have sex, you are old enough to take responsibility and get treated. It is a one dose treatment f/u with urgent care today http://www. Cdc. Gov/std/trichomonas/treatment. Htm
Trichomonas tenax be transmited via oral sex? CSW used her teeth on my urethra, it was rough. Symptoms: itchy/discomfort urethra. It was irritated too
No risk for trich: T. tenax is normal in the mouth but is not known to cause genital infection. Oral sex probably never transmits trichomonas of any kind. Urethral irritation, especially with penile discharge, could be gonorrhea or nongonococcal urethritis from the oral sex event described. But not trichomonas. See a doctor if your symptoms continue or you otherwise remain concerned.
Trichomonaisis?: You are at no risk from oral sex performed by a woman.
How is trichamoniasis actually transferred? Some places say vaginal-penile and vulva to vulva only. Some say these plus oral sex. Some say anal too.
As you say.: Trichomoniasis lives in the urogenital tract. It would be extremely unlikely to find this organism being transmitted from anywhere but there. Therefore, men are not known to transmit infection to other men although women may transmit to other women. As you can imagine it is unlikely that any study will ever be done to try to prove transmission via a pure oral-genital or anal contact.
No sex for now: Has your boyfriend really been diagnosed with trichomonas? That's a very difficult diagnosis in men. I wonder whether he actually has nongonococcal urethritis, the most common of all STDs in men. NGU is often caused by chlamydia, but only 1 in 20 cases is due to trich. In any case, you should not have sex with him at all until you have been examined and probably treated. See your doctor.See 1 more doctor answer
