Hpv (Definition)

Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection. There are over 100 different types of HPV that causes warts in different areas of the body. HPV is incredibly common and almost all sexually active men and women get it during their lifetime. Most of the time HPV does not cause any symptoms or complications. However, A limited number of these HPV viruses are pathogenic and if not monitored carefully can be responsible for causing cervical and penile cancer. Some of these viruses have been ...Read more

My girlfriend has hpv. Can I get it if she use saliva as a lubricant when giving me a a handjob? Also can she give me oral sex?

Possible...: While hpv infection is largely considered std, its auto-inoculation is possible, like laryngeal papilloma by maternal to neonatal route. Besides, many hpv-infected persons may have no visible warts, and not all the exposed contract it. So, it's possible; these may irk your yes-or-no expectation, but that would never be in real life. Then, keeping healthy is key to win invisible war.

Unlikely: Human papillomaviruses (hpv) are so common that most men and women will become infected at some point in their lives. Infection with these viruses usually does not cause any problems. Some types of hpv can cause harmless warts, and others can cause cervical cancer. Transmission is by direct skin-to-skin contact. A "handjob" would be an unlikely source of transmission.

DO SKINNTAGS OR HPV WARTS INCREASE MY CHANCES OF HIV FROM HANDJOB? DON'T KNOW IF SHE HAD ANY CUTS OR FLUIDS ON HER HAND. TY MY LAST POST WAS NOT CLEAR.

MAYBE: To get HIV, you need close contact with someone with the disease, and some access to their body fluids. It is more likely to pass in any activity where friction/minor trauma is involved. Certainly if the contact source has HPV warts, s/he may have another STD.Skin tags occur in the absence of a STD and have no relevance to this discussion.

Worried regarding HPV from handjob. The masseuse wasn't hygienic from her previous client. She did wash hands briefly. Can I contract high risk strains?

Worried regarding HPV from handjob. The masseuse wasn't hygienic from her previous client. She did wash hands briefly. Can I contract high risk strains?

Possible: But unlikely. If she has HPV infection in the form of viral warts on her hands she can give them to you by direct contact, but transfer from another client is not a major risk.

No stds, possible hpv warts/skintags inner thigh. Got handjob from masseuse, not sure if she had blood/semen on hands. Any risk of hiv or other std's?

No stds, possible hpv warts/skintags inner thigh. Got handjob from masseuse, not sure if she had blood/semen on hands. Any risk of hiv or other std's?

No STD or HIV risk: The inner thighs are an unlikely site of genital warts, so skin tags seem more likely. In any case, warts take at least 2 months and often up to 9-12 months to show up after acquring HPV, so nothing to do with more recent sexual exposures. STDs are rarely if ever transmitted by hand-genital contact, even when genital fluids are used as lubricant -- and for sure zero risk for HIV.

Hey I wanted to ask if u could get any sexual disease or any type of disease from giving a handjob?

Hey I wanted to ask if u could get any sexual disease or any type of disease from giving a handjob?

You could get herpes: If they had open lesions and you rubbed them. I don't know if genital warts can be transmitted this way. Otherwise, I don't think so.

Is it likely to get an STD from being fingered/ giving a handjob?

Is it likely to get an STD from being fingered/ giving a handjob?

Not too likely: It depends on what's on the hand, what's on the fingers, and what's on the penis. So, what's on the hand, what's on the fingers, and what's on the penis? If unable to tell by looking, one can try asking the other person.

Can I get some kind of mouth swab test to see if I am HPV positive if I believe I came in contact with someone who has HPV? Ex: giving head

Can I get some kind of mouth swab test to see if I am HPV positive if I believe I came in contact with someone who has HPV? Ex: giving head

HPV: Currently, hpv testing is in standard clinical use only for female pap smears. Oral hpv testing is used in research studies but not widely in clinical practice.

Is it easy after giving oral sex to a female to get oral warts or HPV lesions. Other docs on here have said no but I am worried and have an oral bump.

Not common: You should definitely get your "bump" checked out. However, it is very rare for hpv to spread from the genitals to the mouth or lips with out any open sores.

Maybe: This is new area for us. I know that hpv is becoming a leading cause of male throat cancer, and hpv is implicated but the answer to your question is still not certain.

How high are the chances that you can get hiv or other stds from giving a handjob?

How high are the chances that you can get hiv or other stds from giving a handjob?

Low risk, be safe: Most STDs are passed through direct contact with body fluids and/or mucous membranes (the moist parts of the body, like mouth or vagina). If there is no exposure to body fluids (including small breaks in the skin), and good handwashing, then risk is low. However, warts, herpes, parasites can still be a problem even with intact skin. As always, risk is not zero, but quite low overall.

Can I get a STD from giving a guy a handjob while having a tiny cut on my finger?

Can I get a STD from giving a guy a handjob while having a tiny cut on my finger?

Yes: Some sexually transmitted infections do not require actual intercourse. Rubbing or exchange of fluids can spread some viruses such as herpes. If concerned, have it looked at.

I was giving him a handjob and he finished and then I went to go wash my hands right after and then I fingered myself can I get pregnant like this?

I was giving him a handjob and he finished and then I went to go wash my hands right after and then I fingered myself can I get pregnant like this?

No: Conception requires penis to vagina penetration. Just having some semen on your finger (even when you insert that finger) is not enough to get pregnant. In the future though you might consider washing and drying your hands before you masturbate if you're not trying to get pregnant.

Can man who does not have HPV get it by a woman who has a history of high risk HPV cervical dysplasia by her giving him just oral sex.

You have HPV: I am sorry but you have hpv. All adults should consider they were exposed by the time they were 26 years old. How could you possibly say you do not have hpv? I have never heard anyone who is that uneducated?

Contagious: Sexually trans mitted diseases like herpes and hpv can be transmitted from performing oral sex on a woman who carries these diseases -especially if she has eruptions.
