Can I get a tattoo after kidney transplant?

Can i get a tattoo while having chemo?

Depends: Most professionally-done tattoos are safe these days in terms of transmission of infectious agents like hepatitis. Got a tattoo had a kidney transplant 4 years ago was it okay to get one?

Get which?: Tattoo or transplant? Since both are in past tense, it's probably a bit late to ask the question? Now, assuming you're on immunosuppressant(s) for the transplant, the only risk for tattoo is getting an infection like hepatitis C which your body may not handle as well. If you're asking if it's ok to have gotten kidney transplant - I presume it was urgently needed given the type of procedure it is ...Read more

In a transplant a healthy kidney is disconnected from its usual attachments and moved to a new location with those 3 requirements (artery, vein, bladder). This may be an auto-txp - somewhere else in your own body; or an allo-txp -from ...Read more
