Can you drink wine while taking diflucan (fluconazole)?

Can you drink wine while taking diflucan (fluconazole)?

How much wine??: I am always leery of these questions. People for whom drinking alcohol in some form is so important that when they are placed on a medication or are having a procedure they want to know if it's ok with alcohol. Not saying there IS a problem, but saying you should at least think about it. 1-2 glasses of wine will not interfere with diflucan (fluconazole) and there are no interactions. Wouldn't recommend more.

Hi, do you think I can drink wine while taking ciprofloxacin?

Hi, do you think I can drink wine while taking ciprofloxacin?

I discourage it: Alcohol is not a good drug when you are treating an infection. Also, I believe that when people ask questions about "can I drink beer" or "can I have wine" I don't think they are talking about 1-2 social drinks. Alcohol interferes with white blood cells working, slows healing and has many drug interactions. The doctor who prescribed it or pharmacist who filled it is who you should talk to.

Is it possible for you to drink wine while taking an anti-inflamatory?

Is it possible for you to drink wine while taking an anti-inflamatory?

Depends on how much: If you are talking a glass or two, as long as you have no history of peptic ulcers, gastritis or heartburn, there is little likelihood that that amount of alcohol and an NSAID are going to cause problems. However, larger amounts of alcohol can increase the chance of gastritis and gastrointestinal bleeding, as well as reflux and heartburn.

Can I drink wine while taking cipro (ciprofloxacin)?

Probably ok: Generally it not a good idea to mix medication with alcohol. As far as I can tell there is no serious interaction between alcohol and cipro (ciprofloxacin). So if you do drink alcohol, keep it moderate. 1 or 2 drinks at the most.

Is it ok to drink wine after takin musinex?

Is it ok to drink wine after takin musinex?

How much wine??: If you are using musinex, I assume you have an upper respiratory or sinus infection. Alcohol does reduce the ability of the body to fight off infection, and actually ultimately is dehydrating. Neither of these are good for any kind of respiratory infection. There are no interactions, and if you are talking about 1-2 wine glasses, no problem. Safe drinking limits in men are no more than 2/day.

DEPENDS: Alcohol is fermentation of sugar. Wine is fermented grapes. So that means as a diabetic your alcohol consumption counts as sugar. Therefore may get elevation in blood sugar. Is it possible for you to drink wine while on presidone?

Is it possible for you to drink wine while on presidone?

It increases risks: And also depends on what you are on Prednisone for. The various things for which Prednisone are used are generally not favorably influenced by alcohol. In addition, Prednisone increases the chance of stomach ulcers and bleeding, which is further increased by alcohol. If we are talking a Medrol (methylprednisolone) dose pack for bee sting or poison ivy and one glass of wine, no problem. But regular use of both may be.

Can I drink wine after bypass?

Can I drink wine after bypass?

Depends: You are 32 years old and having a coronary bypass? If that is the case, you should be a lot more worried about what you need to do to avoid getting more arteriosclerosis than you are about whether you can drink wine. Safe drinking limits are 2 glasses (5 oz. Each) per day in men and one glass per day in women; more than that puts you at risk of further health problems.
