I was diagnosed with hpv, I have persistent ovarian cysts and take birth control. Should I take a break from the pill? Scared of infertility

No: Birth control pills do not cause infertility, so you do not need to discontinue them for that reason. If there are other reasons then you should discuss this with your doctor.

Hello. I have endometriosis, HPV, and a history of ovarian cysts. I recently had a period, had sex, then started bleeding again. Not sure what to do.

Abnormal bleeding: Could be many different things. Stress, cervicitis, thyroid disease, pco, endometrioma, depending on your weight endometrial herplasia cervical polyps, cervical polyp, endometrial polyp etc etc. Its really difficult to determine the cause without taking a complete history and physicial.

Could a hx of abnormal paps, high risk HPV, increase risk of ovarian cysts being cancerous? Lg cysts 4-7 cm, frequent urination, severe pain/pressure

Could a hx of abnormal paps, high risk HPV, increase risk of ovarian cysts being cancerous? Lg cysts 4-7 cm, frequent urination, severe pain/pressure

No increased risk: Unlike cervical, anal, and vulvar cancer, ovarian cancer is not caused HPV, and there is no evidence that the risk of overian cancer is any higher in women with HPV, either high or low risk types. Presumably you're in the care of a gynecologist for the ovarian cysts. Continue to follow up as directed and follow her advice. Good luck!

Can masturbatiom cause ovarian cysts?

No: Life is difficult enough without people trying to worry you over something like this. Ovarian cysts are extremely common and only the large ones come to a physician's attention; most are harmless. I trust you're having the cysts followed.

What causes an ovarian cyst to rupture?

What causes an ovarian cyst to rupture?

Menstruation: Cysts are a normal part of the menstrual cycle. The ovary forms a "corpus luteum cyst" which ruptures near the time of menstruation if no fertilization occurs. It is thought that this may be one cause of benign ovarian cysts that keep growing.

What causes Hemorragic Ovarian Cyst & what are the symptoms?!

What causes Hemorragic Ovarian Cyst & what are the symptoms?!

Pain!: Ovulation involves a small cyst on the ovary called a follicle. It is very active hormonally and requires a large blood supply. Sometimes something goes wrong and a blood vessel breaks causing bleeding into the follicle that expands with blood and forms a hemorrhagic cyst on the ovary. The most common symptom is pain on one side of your lower abdomen. Best wishes!

Can ovarian cyst cause infertility?

Can ovarian cyst cause infertility?

Yes: Ovarian cysts in Polycystic ovarian syndrome frequently cause infertility. However, cysts are also necessary for fertility since the egg develops in a cyst known as a follicle and another type of cyst, a corpus luteum, produces the progesterone that gets the uterine lining ready for implantation. Hope this helps.

Why do ovarian cysts cause bloating?

Why do ovarian cysts cause bloating?

Inflammation: Ovarian cysts may cause the feeling of bloating. This may be due to fluid leaking from the cysts and pelvic inflammation as a result of the cysts. Inflammation will cause swelling and fluid accumulation. Should have a pelvic ultrasound to evaluate the size/quality of the cysts.

Do ovarian cysts cause late ovulation?

Do ovarian cysts cause late ovulation?

Ovarian cyst: A cyst (follicle) ruptures each month as you ovulate. Sometimes, the follicle (cyst) that contains the egg that you should ovulate grows bigger and the egg inside stops developing. The cyst may rupture and cause pain or discomfort. If not, you may miss your cycle. As you get older, the changes in your cycle may increase then become more irregular.
