Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection. There are over 100 different types of HPV that causes warts in different areas of the body. HPV is incredibly common and almost all sexually active men and women get it during their lifetime. Most of the time HPV does not cause any symptoms or complications. However, A limited number of these HPV viruses are pathogenic and if not monitored carefully can be responsible for causing cervical and penile cancer. Some of these viruses have been ...Read more

HMMM: Depends on your perspective. Herpes is usually more painful when you get an outbreak, but HPV can cause cancer and or genital warts that can be so extensive that you have to undergo extensive laser surgery that can leave you permanently scarred. Cancer of course can result in needing painful surgeries, biopsies, and death. So they both are pretty bad. HPV at least has a vaccine available. ...Read more

Is the vangina supposed to be bumpy on the inside?? It's been bugging me I do have hpv anal but these don't look like herpes what could it be??
No: Hpv is human papilloma virus (there are many different strains). Some strains of hpv cause genital warts or cervical cancer. Herpes simplex type 1 and type 2 viruses cause herpes infections, which usually are sores, such as sores on the genitals or sores on the lips. Herpes sores are painful clusters of tiny blisters, and they heal up only to return some time later. ...Read more

Herpes vs. HPV: Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) and Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) are viral infections that cause skin lesions. Herpes can appear on the mouth as cold sores (HSV1) or around genitals (HSV2). HPV can occur anywhere on the body. Herpes can cause ulcerated, black-ish lesions while HPV causes smooth round warts (see images). HPV does have a vaccine that (Gardasil) protects against some (not all) HPV strains. ...Read more
I gave oral sex to a woman and I am worried about contracting herpes, hpv, warts or somthin. I heard to get something oral is rare is this true?
Mostly true: Oral sex can be considered safe sex. It's not completely free of STD risk, but low risk for all STDs and zero for some. Altogether a lot safer than unprotected vaginal or anal sex. Risk is especially low for cunnilingus (oral-vaginal). Oral warts and herpes in particular are rare from oral sex. No need for testing if no symptoms (sores of lips or tongue, sore throat) in next 1-2 weeks. ...Read more

Can you catch hpv and herpes from blood on the wall by toilet tissue wasn't sure if any was on toilet paper please help very worried? Blood was nt dry
No risk, no worry: Herpes and HPV are not transmitted through blood. Even for blood borne viruses like HIV or hepatitis B or C, this sort of contact carries little or no risk -- especially if the toilet paper did not have large amounts of wet blood, and if no contact of the blood with open sores. Don't worry about it. ...Read more
HPV/herpes: Both HPV and herpes types I and II are viruses. It is common to acquire both during sexual activity, and both are very easily spread by this route. There are antivirals which when used when symptoms first appear can control the appearance of genital or oral ulcers (herpes), but with HPV other treatment modes are used by physicians when necessary. ...Read more

How is it that immune system can get rid of HPV in body and can't for Herpes? Isn't HPV more harmful and complex than Herpes? What's the difference?
Good question: The body's defense systems combats infection to eradicate from the human body, a complex interaction between the host (the body) and the invading orgsnism usually is the case, in case of Herpes, the virus remains dormant, undetected by the immne system radar in some cells and some nerve roots, once body resistance wanes for a reason or another it flares up until the body fights it back ...Read more

No, however.....: Both HPV (human papilloma virus) and herpes virus are separate germs that are transmitted through sexual contact.
