Yes: Yes… this still could be an inflammatory arthritis despite the negative anti-nuclear antibody. And if it is not an inflammatory arthritis, the rheumatologist may be able to send you in a better direction for a treatment plan.

Possibly from back: Chronic hip bursitis that does not improve with conservative stretching may be a sign of back issues. A complete exam with a spinal specialist would help determine causation and get you on the road to recovery.

May be acquired: Instead of congenital. See your ortho for good evaluation to understand why this happened. The hemipelvis can rotate from trauma or some type of exercise and cause limb length discrepancy. Physiotherapy may be very helpful

Knee pain and MRI said small cyst that was 'ok'. Was treated with bursitis with a cortisoneshot 4mon ago. I don't want another shot, what is the cause?

Need more informatio: I need more information if the cyst is a baker cyst this usually occurs when fluid goes out the back of the knee. This is usually because of some problem inside the knee. What else did the MRI show? Bursitis around the knee is actually outside the knee. What type of percentage was it? Bursitis would be because of knee pain when the MRI is negative. You therapy, heat and ice and exercises for the knee so you don't need another shot.

What are the causes of hip/knee pain when laying down?

Can be several: The hip and knee receive their nerve supply from the same nerve, the obturator so that a knee problem can present as knee &/or hip pain & vice versa. Usually, pain in the joints after lying down is usually a sign of arthritis as motion keeps the joint fluid bathing the joint surfaces which is how the cartilage gets its nutrition.

I was a runner as a teen and notice that now running causes me hip and knee pain I never had before. Why is this and what can I do?

Weekend warrior: The most obvious answer is -- you are out of shape. You are still young, but not as young as you used to be. You may need to start slow and build up miles gradually. Also, stretch after warming up and after. With hip and knee (especially the outside/lateral part of knee) pain you may have a tight iliotibial band (itb). Google stretches for that. Good luck.

I started having knee pain and they crack all the time. My dr said I have fluid in my knees caused from being a woman and we have wider hips. Really?

No: Not sure what your doctor said, but what he/she probably meant is that kneecap (patella) pain is very common in young women given the angle that their quadricep muscle makes given relatively wider hips. This angle tends to pull the kneecap out to the side and that can cause pain. Simple knee stretching and exercises should help.
