Many things: Low blood sugar can cause dizziness but so are low blood pressures, vertigo...It's unlikely that your blood sugar is low "during a meal". Best to do is to check your blood sugar and blood pressure during the time of dizziness to see if one of them are truly the problem. ...Read more

I took 1 5mg melatonin 20hours ago now, had horrid nightmares and now i feel off and dizzy, almost drunk. My blood sugar is fine. Can it cause this?

Yes: You reminded me of own personal experience with melatonin. I tried 3 mg at bedtime and felt too groggy and "off" the next day. I don't like it but many of my patients find it helpful. Melatonin is deemed a "food additive" by the fda and does not come under the scrutiny that medication does. The doses we take are vastly greater than the quantities produced in the brain so I am a bit leery about it. ...Read more
