I have this itch sometimes I have discharge i got tested for all STD and it was negative I do have herpes type 2 can that be the cause?

Probably not: What you're describing can be seen in various conditions including bacterial vaginosis and vaginal yeast infection. It is unlikely that your symptoms are related to your history of herpes . With herpes you would have symptoms of soreness tingling or visual lesions. However with all this said i would recommend that you see your gynecologist to confirm why you have what you have. Good luck. ...Read more

Reading Herpes Tests: I would caution you against these assumptions. These tests should be read and positive (one has been exposed and infected) or negative (one does not have evidence of exposure and infection). Trying to guess when one was exposed will never be correct from these numbers. ...Read more

How do you get herpes type 2 and what do I do now?

How do you get herpes type 2 and what do I do now?

It's an STD: Clarification to previous reply: "Active lesions" are not necessary to transmit. In people with HSV2, the virus is often present in the genital area without symptoms, and herpes often is caught from infected partners who don't know they are infected and/or who don't have an apparent outbreak at the time. Your partner also needs to be checked for infection, even if s/he hasn't noticed anything. ...Read more
