Can Herpes Cause Fever
Can herpes that causes innocent oral fever blisters & cold sores be sexually transited to someone else as genital herpes?
Herpes - HSV1 & HSV2: Yes - unfortunately there can be cross over between the 2 different types of herpes. These viruses are always adapting and looking for 'new opportunities' and although traditionally, HSV-1 kept to the mouth/nose and HSV-2 kept to the genital tract, there can be 'back and forth' transmission of these viruses in susceptible patients. This is a reminder to keep ALL safe sex practices in mind!
There are different types of herpes infections; herpes simplex infection of mouth (gingivostomatitis) and lips (labialis) are the most common. Others include genital herpes, and herpes zoster. Herpes infection could very mild to very dangerous depending on the type and location of the body affected. I ...Read more
Cold sores - HSV1: Yes - cold sores and fever blisters are the same thing and are most commonly caused by HSV-1. Rarely, HSV-2 can cause oral herpes given the increased practices of oral sex compared with decades ago (i.e. the 1950s). You will note STRESS causes these to come out (for example after a fever from another illness), so best to keep stress levels to an absolute minimum. These are infectious to others BTW
Can getting a cold sore under noes cause lower back pain fever and other sick symptoms or is that only herpes 2?
Does HERPES TYPE 1 cause Flu, Cough, painless bumps in the mouth and yellow urine? Please reply me.
If you have the flu and a cold sore and accidentally cough on your underwear, will this cause you to have herpes on genitals?
If a person has a herpes, is there any other signs like fever or something? And how many days does the sores will appear from the day it started to each? Thank u dr.
It's sort of random: After having the first episode of herpes type 1 or 2, a person cannot tell when the next episode will be. In between episodes, the herpes virus causes no symptoms at all.
Herpes: Heres does not cause fever. Are you sure we are discussing the same thing?
Fever: At the time of initial Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1 infection a person may have fever, weakness, sore throat, painful lesions (most often on lips, around mouth, gums, tongue, cheeks), swollen & /or painful lymph nodes in neck. There may be a gray coating on the tongue. A first exposure to herpes simplex II virus can cause fever, chills, headache, feeling generally ill and weakness of muscles.
I smoked with someone about two months ago who I think may have herpes but I never gotten any fever blister what are the chances might have it?
You might: Sometimes acquiring the virus comes without symptoms.
I've got a fever blister and I've got been getting them most of my life. Does it mean I've got been infected with herpes?
I started to notice fever blisters recently and I read it was a herpes 1 stimlax or some sort. Am I going to get them again? How do I treat it fast?
Time will heal: It is true that this is caused by herpes simplex virus. Treatment is largely for comfort, and a product like orabase can be used, which uses a covering with a topical anesthetic. Anti-viral medications are very seldom used for "cold sores". It is a virus which resides in the nerve trunks of the facial nerves, and will recur. Good luck... 7-10 days...
Herpes simplex: This is very variable, but the longest limits are up to three weeks. This would be very unusual and would start looking for another cause for fever if it lasted more than a week.
I have had a recent bump outbreak in pubic area and I'm not sure what it is. Is it herpes, I've shown many symptoms of herpes with fevers&blisters.
Get seen ASAP: If you want to know what disease or diseases you might have, especially if you are concerned about sexually transmitted diseases, you need testing in real life. Many sexually transmitted diseases "travel together." Avoid intercourse until you have had a pelvic exam and STD testing, including herpes and HIV. Get seen right away so you can be evaluated and treated. Best wishes to you.
