"Internal Hemorrhoids" keep coming back. Pain is just on the inside(either left or right side towards back).Tired of them.GI says NO to surgery. Why?

Hemorrhoids: The best treatment for internal hemorrhoids is to drink a whole lot of water and to take a fiber supplement with every meal. Can anything other than sitting or straining prolong or inflame hemorrhoids? Stress? Back Pain/Arthritis? Even if you drink water and fiber, why stay

STRAINING: Hemorrhoids are a normal part of our anatomy. We are born with 3 primary hemorrhoids all with an internal and external component. Anything that would cause us to strain or puts downward pressure on pelvis (pregnancy) can cause the tissues to engorge and cause symptoms. Internal component would bleed PAINLESSLY and external component causes irritative symptoms such as itcing, burning, stinging ...Read more

Is it normal to have major bloating a day after a rectal exam w/ lower back pain? Impacted w/ blood in stool, external/internal hemorrhoids, loose stool

Is it normal to have major bloating a day after a rectal exam w/ lower back pain? Impacted w/ blood in stool, external/internal hemorrhoids, loose stool

Depends: I would need to know more about your hx, and what exactly was done during the rectal exam. If you had invasive type of procedure--lower GI series where a barium enema is introduced into anus--or a flexible sigmoidoscopy/colonoscopy--then cramping or bloating are to be expected for 4-24 hrs. If you are having further difficulties, consult with dr who ordered, or performed tests. Good luck. ...Read more

Blood work, normal. Ct pelvis, normal. Swollen spleen, testicular pain, hemorrhoids, weakness, fatigue, eye pain, unintentional weight loss, back pain?

Need more work up: None of the things you mention should be related to eye pain in my experience. See an ophthalmologist to explore things that could be related to the eye pain part, but you really need a reason for the swollen spleen, testicular pain and weight loss more than just a ct scan and blood work. Every city has what i call the "zebra" doctor. We have a saying that the thunder of hooves should be horses. ...Read more

Fast pulse, red blood cells little low, ESR high. Ana positive 1:640 speckled. Up back pain 1 yr blood in stool twice year or so.I do have hemroids?

See your doc: The symptoms you are giving warrant further wrork up. Hemorrhoid alone do not explain the high ESR and the fast pulse. It is important to know how high is the ESR and to do a complete physical exam to look for skin rash or mucosal ulcers. Only a physician can guide you to get an accurate diagnosis. ...Read more
