Can Hear My Pulse In My Ear
I was diagnosed with TMJ & I believe it was from a car accident 4 months ago. I can hear my pulse in my ear. How can u get rid of that? It is annoying
See an Oral surgeon: TMJ is a very common injury in car accidents. You need to be accurately diagnosed. An Oral surgeon who specializes in TMJ is recommended. Hearing your pulse in your ear is not necessarily related and often times will go away on its own. I recently experienced that for a few months and it went away. Check with an Oral surgeon who specializes in TMJ ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
When I move my jaw I can hear it move and I can make it crack& sometimes I can hear my pulse in my ear?
Jaw cracking: Sound like TMJ (temporomandibular joint syndrome). The pulse in the ear may be a sensation as a result but would also consider rarely carotid issues though you re extremely young for that and it is unlikely if you do not have elevated blood pressure or an underlying condition like marfan's ehler's Danlos. Follow up with dentist, ENT ...Read more
What causes a hard felt heart beat? In my chest and chin? And also when I bend my head down I can hear my pulse in my head/ears?
Premature Beats: Phenomena occurs when U have occas premature beat, followed by normal beat. Early beat with less filled Ventricle, & following beat with greater than NL filled Ventricle. So second beat releases more blood & this is experienced as harder beat. If this happens freq. Would request Holter Monitor from Prim MD, which records all beats 24-72 hrs. Prob not a signif problem, just be sure. ...Read more

Pulse in the ear: If you feel your pulse while you are comfortably sitting, you may have high blood pressure. At your age it is hard to diagnose because most people at your age do not see doctors. Get your blood pressure checked at your doctor's office ASAP. You need to get your electrolytes and iron levels checked. Avoid high salt foods until you get in to see the doctor. Good luck and feel better! ...Read more
When laying on my rhs I can feel my heartbeat pulsing in my neck. Super weird. When laying on my lhs I can hear my heart beating in my ear. Causes?
Normal: The impulse and sound of a beating heart is transmitted normally, especially to the neck. It is a normal phenomenon, not an abnormality. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine. ...Read more
Normal: The carotid artery is anatomically located adjacent to the cochlea or inner ear organ. You are aware of this pulsation. Unfortunately, it is most commonly a normal physiological phenomenon. However, rarely, at age 37, it can represent an abnormality. The bottom line is that you are aware of an arterial pulsation of the large artery of the neck. If you are otherwise asymptomatic, don't worry. ...Read more

How long can you go with hearing your pulse in your ear? I've had this going on since february. Sometimes it bothers me, and other times it doesn't.
If I lay my head against something I hear my pulse much clearer than before? Reasons for this? Also if I stand up I hear my blood flow in ears
Carotid artery: It is an anatomical fact that the carotid artery (the large artery in the neck that supplies blood to your brain) is adjacent to the cochlea (inner ear). Unfortunately, you are one of many people with this symptom. Try not to focus on it because it probably will not go away. You are 21 and it is unlikely that this symptom represents anything serious. But a sonogram of neck might be considered. ...Read more

I can hear this pulse/whooshing sound in my left ear mostly at night. Sometimes happens through the day. Should I be worried? What can I do to stop it?
It means blood is: Circulating into your head (brains). You want to hear it as long as you're alive! You need to not tunE into it as much, just like hearing your heart beat! If you didn't hear it, then you should really be worried! Don't get anxious over it. When it's quiet at night, it's more audible. It's a good thing! Use white noise of waves or nature sounds to distract you if irritates or worried by it. ...Read more
For the past year I can hear the loud swooshing sound of my pulse in my ears. It's most noticable at rest. Is that a problem?
I'm hearing my pulse in my right ear during my workout and when I get up to fast, and sometimes when I'm walking. What would cause this?
Nothing wrong: This is probably due to some inefficiencies in your right eustachian tube, and when there is a little negative pressure in the middle ear, you'd be more likely to hear your internal carotid artery pulsate, which is located just below the middle ear. If your nose is also chronically stuffy - the cause of that may be causing the partial eustachian tube inefficiency. Either way - not to worry. ...Read more
