How does hCG level increase in casw of ovarian cyst or tumors. Or in case of molar or tub pregnancy?
My ovarian cyst has ruptured I now have some bleeding and my hCG levels has dropped 6241 to 1177 can the cyst do this I am 7wks pregnant?
Maybe: The most concerning thing is the drop in hormone level at 7 weeks of pregnancy. This combined with your bleeding sounds like a miscarriage. A ruptured ovarian cyst could make you bleed inside your pelvis, but the vaginal bleeding is likely coming from inside the uterus. A pelvic exam and ultrasound would be the most helpful in figuring out what is going on. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Is the hCG diet safe? I bought drops but am scared of side effects. I have ovarian cysts and heard hCG can turn them cancerous? Is this true?
It's silly stuff: The 'hcg diet' is an 800-calorie severely restrictive diet and this is why you lose weight. The overpriced placebo that is tacked on will probably do nothing. Further, HCG does not turn ovarian cysts cancerous. Why not take the money and join a fitness club, make friends, and embark on a far happier and less fear-darkened life? Cheers. ...Read more
My last period oct18, finished taking Duphaston 10days ago, negative hCG urine test, no ovarian cyst, today dec17 and no period, what can it be?
No menses: If you do not have bleeding after Progesterone withdrawal, there can be several causes. 1) pregnant and too early to check urine 2) the lining of the endometrium is too thin to get a bleed (called a silent period by some) 3) something blocking the cervix (doubtful because last month regular period). See your doctor. ...Read more

I've just been told I have a 7cm ovarian cyst with nodules sitting behind uterus. I need ca125, hcg, afp, ldh tests and surgery. Should I be worried?
Your doctor will gui:
The doctor who has ordered your tests suspects that you might have Cancer of the Ovary showing as a Cyst. But we need to have all the tests done, particularly CA125 before we can get any certain idea. A high
CA -125 level is common in most cases with cancer of the ovary. But it can sometimes be high for other benign conditions but the elevation is more modest in those other conditions. ...Read more
Yes: Germ cell tumors in the brain or in the body can lead to high beta HCG levels. Testicular and ovarian cancers can secrete beta hcg. In the brain these can present as choriocarcinomas. I'm pregnant and they have not seen baby yet but they did find a cyst like form on my right ovary but there not sure what it is hCG levels are 601?
Cyst & pregnancy: It sounds from your HCG levels that you are early in your pregnancy. During this time it is normal to have an ovarian cyst until the placenta develops and takes over hormonal production. It is also too soon to see the baby, don't worry. Make sure you take your prenatal vitamins and have your regular OB visits ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
