Pregnancy (Definition)

When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

Will nigen hCG drops give me a false positive pregnancy test?

No: Hcg is a polypeptide hormone and it get broken down in the stomach and intestine. Incidentally taking HCG orally is not doing you any good other than lightening your wallet.

I took hCG drops about a month ago, stopped about 15 days later. Yesterday I took a home pregnancy test and it came back positive. Could it be false?

Probably not: The drops were so long ago, and there is not great absorption anyway (ie. Waste of money) that it would not cause the pregnancy test to be positive. I suggest you follow up with your GYN.

I`m 41 weeks pregnant and I took a pregnancy test just for fun and it was negative, why is that? The test was new, hcg drops, in late pregnancy?

I`m 41 weeks pregnant and I took a pregnancy test just for fun and it was negative, why is that? The test was new, hcg drops, in late pregnancy?

Correct: HCG peaks around 9-10 weeks of pregnancy. In some woman it can drop quite low in late pregnancy. Usually its still high enough to show up on a urine pregnancy test but there have been some cases where the level isn't high enough to trigger a positive test. Best wishes!

Should I test homeopathic hCG drops using a OTC pregancy test?

Should I test homeopathic hCG drops using a OTC pregancy test?

No: Homeopathic remedies are prepared in very minute quantities. Otc pregnancy tests are likely to give unreliable results detecting so-called "homeopathic hcg." also, this form of HCG is not an approved homeopathic remedy and the fda withdrew it from the market in late 2011. http://www. I have been on the hcg drops for 3 days. Will that affect my blood hcg test when I go to the doctor?

I have been on the hcg drops for 3 days. Will that affect my blood hcg test when I go to the doctor?

HCG: If the original HCG values were low the treatment should restore that but I am surprised that you are concerned after only three days. If you do feel worse after three days please call your doctor.

How long does hCG at 400 take to drop down to 0. its been 5days and pregnancy test still coming positive had a miscarriage a month a at six weeks?

How long does hCG at 400 take to drop down to 0. its been 5days and pregnancy test still coming positive had a miscarriage a month a at six weeks?

Roughly: HCG drops at roughly the same rate it rises when a pregnancy fails, so an hCG of 400 can easily take 30 days to drop down to 10 or less. If you are concerned you should ask your doctor (or a doctor) to check a quant hCG again.

I've been taking a hCG drop that claims to be hormone free, but it tested positive on a pregnancy test. Can I get a false positive from taking these?

I've been taking a hCG drop that claims to be hormone free, but it tested positive on a pregnancy test. Can I get a false positive from taking these?

No: Hcg is a hormone so if your is hormone free then you are not taking hcg. Hcg would be destroyed by the acid in your stomach anyway. Congratulations! You are most likely pregnant.

Is it true that hCG sometimes doesn't show up on a pregnancy test till your 6-7 weeks I'm late over a wk but test was negative?

Not likely: The current tests for HCG are quite sensitive and a properly done test, after a week of missed period, will be positive, if the woman is pregnant. You may wish to see your doctor for a blood test and may be an ultrasound exam.

Even technically pregnant until 3 weeks and you don't start producing hCG until then so could that be why my pregnancy test are negative?

Even technically pregnant until 3 weeks and you don't start producing hCG until then so could that be why my pregnancy test are negative?

I don't understand: Precisely what you are asking, but hCG is produced and detectable by 10-12 days after fertilization, which also means roughly 2-3 days before you'd expect your period in a 28-day cycle. If you test negative at this time, you are not pregnant. Hope this helps.

Equivocal pregnancy test at 7 hCG can I go on to have a healthy pregnancy?

It is very early or: Low 7 would be less than 1 day pregnant, please repeat it in 3 days and most likely it will be less than 5 which is -, if u have a very early normal preg which is unlikely with that number the bhcg will double and also a Progesterone level can be drawn.

At what point and at what level is the hCG first detectable in a urine pregnancy test?

At what point and at what level is the hCG first detectable in a urine pregnancy test?

Depends on the test: Different home pregnancy tests have different HCG levels to trigger a positive. Usually if a woman is pregnant, by the time she misses her period - it will trigger a positive test with first morning void. However, this doesn't always happen and sometimes needs to be repeated.

How long does it take hCG to build up in order to get a positive urine pregnancy test? How many days?

How long does it take hCG to build up in order to get a positive urine pregnancy test? How many days?

Take a test: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period. If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection.

How long does it take the 10, 000 hCG trigger shot to leave your system befor I can take a first response pregnancy test?

How long does it take the 10, 000 hCG trigger shot to leave your system befor I can take a first response pregnancy test?

HCG: 10, 000 units: The 10, 000 units of HCG will stimulate ovulation, and will remain in your system for 7-10 days at least. If you do not have a period in three weeks after the shot, obtain a "quantitative" serum HCG test, and if elevated at that time will be positive for pregnancy.
