2 Things: It's possible, though unlikely, that the ovarian cyst caused your bleeding. Most cysts aren't hormonally 'active' as it were and wouldn't affect the uterus' cycling. More likely is that you are having breakthrough bleeding, due to changes in your ovaries' production of estrogen and progesterone. See a doctor if the breakthrough bleeding continues. ...Read more

Not likely related.: Ovarian cysts are very common and usually benign. They are not generally related to bleeding between periods. Your bleeding and pain are probably due to something else. Pregnancy? ...Read more

Absolutely not!: You are post menopausal with abnormal bleeding. You need to see your physician or Ob/Gyn as soon as possible.
