I am experiencing heel pain, foot weakness and foot pain, especially in my instep I don't have gout or uric aci, normally pain in the morning.

Can gout cause pain/swelling in 3rd-5th toe area that meets top of r foot only? Not big toe; blood uric arid test slightly high; ipuprofin helped.
Can elevated uric acid cause pain even without all-out gout? I have high levels and finger and foot pain, but little swelling and no tophi! Thanks!

Gout and Sciatica?: This would be quite rare. Being that gout is a joint based inflammatory condition, this is highly unlikely. Keep working on getting that UA level under 6 though. INFECTION?: The WHOLE foot is hot, red, swollen, but two major areas of pain? Are you diabetic? No open sores? Can you take your temperature; do you have a fever?
