Im dieting my 4yrs old with dairy products due to severe constipation, backpain. Is almond milk gluten free ok and safe to use as alternative?

Not best choice: Not all almond milk is gluten free. Check the label. Almond milk is very low in protein and fat which growing children may need. It can be high in sugar too. Positives: iron, riboflavin and vitamin e, extra calcium. ...Read more

Time for fiber. : Many of my patients with dietary issues have tried pulling gluten containing foods out of their diet. The problem is that wheat and bran have most of their daily fiber intake. You'll need to add a fiber supplement. Try metamucil or citrucel twice a day, taken apart from meals. Then try adding more fruits and vegetables to your diet. If gluten is your problem this may help straighten you out. ...Read more
