Runny and stuffy nose after guardasil vaccine why? Was not like that beforee vaccine and I don't get sick easily
Stuffy nosr: Babies normally breath through their nose. To relieve stuffness, useabulb syringe to remove excess mucus, use saline nose drops, humidify the air if the room is too dry and try elevating the baby's mattress. Wash your hands before handling baby. If you are very congested wear amask.See 1 more doctor answer
I have the flu fever, muscle aches, stuffy nose, and I'm in wi. Where do I get tested to see what vaccine I need?
No vaccine: No vaccine is available and vaccines prevent disease, they do not treat it once it starts. You have a bad cold. You will get better. See a doctor if symptoms persist.
Yes: The vaccine can cause these side effects. The reason is it's causing the body to release cytokines, chemokimes, and various proteinacious substances which in turn cause tissue to react certain ways. It's all perfectly natural though in the perfect world we would like to engineer a vaccine without any signs or symptoms of the disease itself!See 2 more doctor answers

Are inhalant allergies common in a newborn? I care for a 1 month old, a stuffy nose for two days. A temperature of 99.6 started today.
Allergies uncommon: Newborns depend on small nasal passages for breathing. Common irritants like dust, fragrance, smoke, paint fumes, cooking odors, etc. Can all cause congestion. Regular use of saline nasal wash can remove these irritants so baby can breathe easier. A temperature of 99.6 is normal @ this age.See 1 more doctor answer
My 20 day old newborn started today with stuffy nose and cough. Is there something I can give or do to her? Any advice & thanks in advance
? irritants?: The first months are troubled by narrow nasal passages & exposure to dust, fragrences, smoke & other irritants aggravate this. Baby tries to flush these out of the nose with mucous but this often ends as congestion & produces rattling with breathing. The best rx is washing out the nose with saline &suctioning the remainder. Eliminate irritants from babies environment &this will happen less.See 1 more doctor answer

Hello, I have been experiencing a blocked/stuffy nose (only on one nostril), but I do not feel sick. How do I get rid of this? Thank you, presh.
Depends: It depends on duration. If it is very recent then allergy or viral illness (hopefully not a foreign body!) so suggest afrin for the next 3-4 days or oral decongestant. If it has been a long time then consider deviated septum, nasal polyp, nasal mass, enlarged turbinate. To, get rid of it depends on cause so would recommend ENT evaluation.
Whenever I have a cold or get sick I usually have a stuffy nose. But only one side is stuffed. I have tried over-the-counter and prescription ideas?
Nasal spray can help: Usually, the nose gets stuffed because of either mucus or just tissue swelling in the nose. With mucus, you can try to rinse it out with a saline nasal rinse. If mucus is cleared and you still have a stuffy nose, a steroid nasal spray can reduce swelling of the nasal passages and improve the stuffy nose.
Family member who had a stuffy nose was holding my 14 week old breastfed baby. Will my baby get sick?
If I am sick, sore throat stuffy nose, and am nursing how do I not get her sick? Do I not nurse her? I'm very afraid since I care for her 98% of time
Wash your hands: Keep breastfeeding - remember she is getting antibodies from you through the breastmilk. The best way to avoid transmitting your illness is good handwashing before taking care of her. Feel better.
I barely got sick last night. Well just a minor stuffy nose and minor sore throat. What can I do to get rid of it as soon as it came?
Sleep and time.: Those symptoms are classic for a viral infection. The best thing you can do to get over these types of infections is sleep and get lots of rest. Your immune system functions much better when you have slept a good night. Medication such as anabiotic's really don't help with a viral infection. Treat the symptoms with antihistamines or decongestants or maybe a throat lozenge. Beyond that give it time
My mom has a cold&sore throat. Visited her past week. I now have a little sore throat & a little bit of a stuffy nose (green mucous)did I get sick? : (
It is possible: That you could have the same infection she had. Most often upper respiratory viral infections start 2 or 3 days after exposure but it can take up to a week.
Just getting over walking pneumonia but today I woke up with a bad sore throat its killing me a stuffy nose hurts to swallow could I b get sick again?
Possibly: You didn't mention whether you have fever or chills along with this. However your clinical history & medications warrants you calling your doctor first and letting her or him know that you're feeling sick with a sore throat. They can instruct you what to do. In the meantime, use warm, saline gargles, hydrate and rest. That is comforting and easy to do from home. Keep your neck warm and covered.See 1 more doctor answer
I get a really bad cold every time I'm on my period. This month I have spotted twice and both times gotten sick. Stuffy nose, sore throat, body aches?
Cold with period: This is more likely symptoms due to your monthly hormonal changes called pms, rather than an actual infection with a cold.
Slippery slope: Saline rinses (neilmed sinus rinse for example) are safe, non-medicated way to help. Nasal steroids (prescription) work if you use them regularly, but are more for allergies rather that a cold. Afrin, works fast in a pinch, but be careful this is "addictive". If you use it for more than a few days in a row, the stuffy nose will come back with a vengeance. Good for before a flight or big date.
Stuffy nose no meds: You can use saline nose drops and/or steam treatment, which will temporary help your stuffy nose without taking meds.
Yes, likely: Non-allergic rhinitis is diagnosed typically by having negative allergy skin tests, but a nasal swab which shows inflammation (eosinophils). If you haven't had those tests, see an allergist. If you have, hopefully you were prescribed daily nasal steroids. If you take the nose spay daily (even on days you feel okay), then your nose will be less stuffed and your headache will go away.
