Can Garlic Help With Bv
I have bacterial vaginosis and want to insert garlic to cure it. How long do I have to insert it to cure the bv? Please help
Vagina excretions smell like garlic. Is this healthy? Finished metro for BV 3 weeks ago. Smells better than used to. Just curious.
Should not smell : Like garlic, u need a good vag culture that can check for multiple organisms not just the ones that cause bv.
I been suffering BV now for almost 1 1\2 and is desperate for help it goes away then come back i put a garlic clove in my vagina & been douching h202?
See a specialist.: I'm sorry your symptoms sound so bothersome, but i would avoid self treatment with garlic and vaginal douching. It's important that the cause of your symptoms, the vaginitis, is fully understood. There are many causes and contributors to vaginitis, and BV is just one of many possible causes. This has bothered you so long i would seek the opinion of am experienced gynecologist.
Is it safe to put peroxide on a burn on your vagina skin ( not inside ) ; resulting from inserting garlic vaginally because i think I have BV .
Vaginal burn: Safer to have your doctor examine & treat.See 1 more doctor answer
I put garlic in my vagina before bed for BV i think . Today it burns and itches , and i see blisters . I am icing it now . But what should I do ?
See a doctor: It is unclear if intravaginal garlic is an effective treatment for bacterial vaginosis. In fact, it may cause irritation in that manner. The development of blisters to the vagina is not known to be an accepted presentation of bv. See a physician.
I have had a mildewy smell down there & itching at times. I've seen doctors & have been treated for bv , trich . with flagyl , metro. It came back. So I've been using tea tree oil & garlic. Today I also began peroxide. Can you please tell me exactl
Recurrent BV...: ...is the best bet. Tea tree oil and garlic will not help, and I doubt hydrogen peroxide will either. Probably you will need another 7 day course of oral metronidazole. After that, vaginal metronidazole (MetroGel®) or boric acid vaginal capsules often are effective in preventing recurrence. If your doc is unfamiliar with these, find a gyn with interest in infectious diseaseas. Good luck!
Neg for stds and bv/yeastbut I have a lot of pelvic pain and brown cervical disharge and it smells like feces sometimes fish sometimes must and garlic?
No: Bacterial vaginosis (bv) is a disorder of females and may or may not be related to sexual activity. Having multiple male sexual partners or new sexual partners can increase the risk of having a BV infection. There is a strong association with sexual activity but it is not necessary to produce it. This is due to an imbalance of the bacteria in a womans vagina. It can be chronic and hard to treat.See 1 more doctor answer
Causes:: Altered bacterial environment in vagina via: good lactobacilli are killed off by antibiotics, douching, hormone changes such as menopause or going off the birth control pill. Risk increases with: multiple sex partners (though can get BV & have never had sex), possibly a link between BV and stress, cigarette smoking, use of an iud. Recurrent infections are common.See 1 more doctor answer

Altered environment: A healthy vagina normally has many species of bacteria, mostly lactobacilli. Lactobacilli are useful bacteria, as they make Lactic Acid & peroxide which keep the vagina at a slightly acidic ph (protects against infection). A change in normal bacteria, including reduction of lactobacilli, may be due antibiotics or ph imbalance, allows a mix of more resistant bacteria to grow--causing bv.See 1 more doctor answer
BV spontaneous cure?: I would assume that if a woman had a very few numbers of BV in her vagina (which are there in small amounts), that they are already held in check by the good bacteria, and the woman wouldn't have any symptoms. Once she has significant numbers of the bacteria, she'll have symptoms and thus need rx treatment.
