Colitis: Painless bleeding with clumps of mucus could be from colitis. It could range from inflammatory bowel disease like ulcerative colitis to a colitis from antibiotics like clostridium difficile. See your doctor for a thorough workup to include a blood count and even a colonoscopy. Is your stool changing to a light color like yellow? Then this could be from gallbladder. ...Read more

Accutane caused me to have low white blood cells and higher lipid levels in my blood and I was just wondering why and how this happens?
Effects bone marrow: Accutane has a long list of side effects, some potentially serious, involving many organ systems, which is why close monitoring by qualified physicians is mandatory for its use. Listed side effects are all within the spectrum of these adverse reactions, due to suppression of bone marrow. What causes low white blood cells with severe tummy pain unable to eat solid food. Dorctors prescribed morphine for pain?
Bone marrow malignancies involving the myeloid cells will cause abnormal growth of a certain clone of white cells and inhibit the proliferation of normal cell populations such as platelet precursors and red cell precursors so anemia would be expected also.
Severe infection with septicemia could lead to the same problem via destruction of platelets in small blood vessels. Two very different cases! ...Read more
