Can vomiting due flu cause pain in blader area when bending?

Can vomiting due flu cause pain in blader area when bending?

Vomiting is violent.: Vomiting can cause muscle strain in the jaw, neck, throat, abdomen, chest, low back and groin. This can tale up to 6 weeks to resolve once the vomiting is over. Meanwhile if anything is worse than vomitting... it is vomitting with a muscle strain. Phenergan (promethazine) with codeine syrup can be useful for a few days to get you through the flu... Once the vomitting stops stretching or PT may be needed.

After getting a rotten egg taste in my mouth, a few hours later I am sick with flu like systoms, nause, vomiting and diarrhea, what is the cause?

After getting a rotten egg taste in my mouth, a few hours later I am sick with flu like systoms, nause, vomiting and diarrhea, what is the cause?

Intestinal bugs: There are intestinal sulphate-reducing bacteria that produce hydrogen sulfide, and this is the likely source of the rotten-eggs taste you complain about. Some evidence suggests sulfer-rich diets (dairy, eggs, dried fruits, certain vegetables) increase growth of these organisms. Hope that helps.

Every 2 months I get severe nausea & vomiting. All tests are 'normal'. Doc says its just bad luck w/ stomach flu. Could there be another cause?

Sure: Guy or gal? If gal, could be related to hormones, menses, ovulation (perhaps just from one of the ovaries, thus every other month). Check timing of symptoms with menstrual cycle. Could be cyclic vomiting syndrome; could be other triggers for the symptoms, could even be migraine related. Could be other stuff too. Keep looking.

Nausea & vomiting every morning not pregnant. 4 months pp. Been twice to the ER in the last 3 months and the keep saying stomach flu. What is cause?

Nausea & vomiting every morning not pregnant. 4 months pp. Been twice to the ER in the last 3 months and the keep saying stomach flu. What is cause?

ER: This is not the place in which to undergo evaluation for a chronic process. This needs careful assessment with history, physical exam and labs and possibly endoscopy or other procedures and should be done by a doctor with the time and training to do this. An ER, although staffed by wonderful concerned doctors, in not equipped for this. Go see a GI doctor. Good luck and hope this clears up soon.

My voice is hoarse and it is very painful to swallow anything after throwing up yesterday from stomach flu. What caused it how long would it last?

My voice is hoarse and it is very painful to swallow anything after throwing up yesterday from stomach flu. What caused it how long would it last?

Stomach acid: Vomiting causes the contents of the stomach to be regurgitated back up the esophagus, into the throat and mouth. The stomach contains a fair amount of acid in order to help digest food. When you vomit, this acid comes up as well, and vomiting repeatedly can irritate the esophagus and throat, which is likely what you are experiencing. Time will help but can try an anesthetic like chloraseptic too.

Do people vomit after a flu shot?

Do people vomit after a flu shot?

Rarely happens: A person may rarely vomit after a flu shot because: he was going to vomit anyway for an unrelated reason (nothing to do with the shot), he is scared of needles (people sometimes faint after a shot), he is having a rare allergic reaction to the shot (he may have other symptoms such as a hives rash). People can go get vaccinations without worrying about vomiting, because such vomiting is so rare.

Can I have the flu without vomiting?

Can I have the flu without vomiting?

Certainly!: "Flu" is a term misused in many ways but the classic way we as providers qualify flu is when there is a viral infection caused by the influenza viruses that leads to fever, sores throat, cough, body aches, muscle aches, headache, and general malaise. When someone uses the term "stomach flu", it may not be caused by the influenza virus alone. Some of those infections are caused by other viruses.
