Can Fibroids Cause Bowel Problems
The gastrointestinal tract starts at the mouth, travel down the tunnel (esophagus), which connects to the stomach, which then empties into the duodenum, jejunum, and ileum---the three parts of the small intestine (@25 feet). This empties into the colon or large intestine (about 5 feet), which then becomes the sigmoid colon, rectum and out the anus. So, every morsel eaten ...Read more
40yr lady complain pain lt lumber u/s show swollen bowel loop, faty infiltratd liver fibroid uterus, kidney contain concretion, what is cause n management?
Multiple issues: Swollen bowel loop--i don't understand description but this could be diverticulosis or an ileum. Fatty liver: chronic condition associated with obesity and diabetes, can cause cirrhosis over time. Fibroid uterus: common in 40 year old women kidney concretion: I have no idea but maybe this is calcium deposited in the kidney. No 1 diagnosis puts all of these together. You need to see your doctor.
Can a left lateral wall fibroid cause cramp-like pelvic pain after urination and/or bowel movement? Or just in general?
Fibroids: Symptoms will depend on the size and location of the fibroids. Many women have few or no symptoms. The pain you have described could be related. If the pain persists in this manner, I would recommend following up with your physician for an exam, including urinalysis, and an ultrasound.
Consider removal: You may need to see an ob/gyn to consider removal of your fibroid.
U/S rpt:"Enlarged uterus lobulated contour&multiple uterine fibroids. LargestFibroids@uterine fundus' posterior wall&left fundal wall 3.1cm. Endometrial thickness normal, ovaries obscured byOverlying bowel gas" Any tests/scan/type of surgery recommend?
Fibroids: Are relatively common, and if you are not having any symptoms related to them, probably nothing needs to be done. It sounds like you had a transabdominal ultrasound and your ovaries could not be seen due to bowel gas. This happens occasionally. If your doctor wants to check your ovaries, you need to have a transvaginal ultrasound. If the ovaries are still difficult to see, MRI might be useful.See 1 more doctor answer
What is the best method to address a calcified fibroid tumor that is causing frequent urination and bowel movement issues?
Hysterectomy: I'm going to assume this is a common calcified leiomyoma / fibroid of the uterus and that it's falling forward onto the bladder causing urinary urgency and pushing backward onto the bowel and causing constipation. These calcified tumors are unlikely to regress at menopause and elective hysterectomy might be a reasonable option if your physician is good with it.See 1 more doctor answer
I have a fibroid on the posterior exterior uterine wall. Is this why I have to push up on my peritoneum to have a bowel movement?
Uterine fibroid: Possibly a contributing factor depending on its location on the exterior wall. Also if you have had children and are perimenopausal/menopausal there is less tone in the perineal muscles and there may be a mild rectocele prolapse (rectal tissue pushes vagina) so stool gets stuck. Consider trying Kegel exercises to strengthen the perineal muscles. Discuss rectocele with gyn.
Severe abdomen/groin/genital pain after bowel movement. Can't stand upright at all. Pain constant for 4 days. Worsens at times and after bm. Could it be fibroid or abscess? Thinking of going to er.
See a doctor: This pain could be due to an abscess, perianal fistula, hemorroids, or possibly fibroid. Whatever the cause, it sounds like the symptoms are severe enough for you to see a doctor soon; they can decide if a ct would be appropriate to figure out the cause. Good luck!See 2 more doctor answers

Constipation: Given the significant amount of adhesions associated with Asherman`s syndrome it could absolutely cause constipation. Diarrhea would seem much less likely. Irritation of your pelvic/stomach organs can transfer onto your bowels. The best way to combat constipation is to ensure a diet high in water and fiber. Best of luck :)
Will bowel problems complety reverse itself, if stress is the cause of them, and the stress is completely reduced to normal levels?
Yes: If stress is the only cause then eliminating stress would solve the entire problem. However it is not usually as simple as that especially given your complex medication condition.
Anxiety: Thru increased adrenaline, it can affect any organ system, such as gastrointestinal tract, cardiovascular, endocrine, nervous system, renal, etc.
Can clindamycin lotion (prescribed for acne) cause bowel problems? Or is that just other routes other than topical?
Topical clindamycin: This can indeed cause bowel problems - like diarrhea because if you think about it, the clindamycin lotion will absorb into your skin and thus make it's way to the bowels. If you're having diarrhea after starting this, you should get it checked out. Any antibiotic side-effect should be taken seriously. I would start with the doc who prescribed the clindamycin - give them a call today.
