Can herpes that causes innocent oral fever blisters & cold sores be sexually transited to someone else as genital herpes?

These viruses are always adapting and looking for 'new opportunities' and although traditionally, HSV-1 kept to the mouth/nose and HSV-2 kept to the genital tract, there can be 'back and forth' transmission of these viruses in susceptible patients. I've gotten fever blisters since a kid I know it's herpes right but does that mean every time I get one does that mean I can get Bell's palsy? Panic
Not necessarily: We believe Bell's palsy is secondary to herpes simplex, but this virus is already present in most human bodies in the dorsal root ganglion.
