Can Eye Floaters Cause Blurred Vision
Ad eye floaters for years but on and of I get pressure in them and hurt to touch could this be eye tumours blurred vision up close reading glass it'ok?
Different symptoms: Floaters don't have "pressure-like" feelings. It sounds like you're experiencing pain when pushing on your eyes. Well don't do it then. Blurred vision could be a need for new glasses. You're old enough for reading glasses, which are fine. Because your symptoms are varied, an exam would be very helpful to sort them out. An eye tumor would be a very unlikely concern, but again an exam will help.
Blurry vision, constant eye floaters, flashes of light, double vision. MRI normal & saw 2 eye doctors who found nothing. What can it be?!
Talk to your doctor: You may want to see a neuro -ophthalmologist. Your symptoms are very concerning. It's possible to have normal exam and negative MRI and still have something wrong. Multiple sclerosis comes to mind. You may find a specialist in New Orleans to evaluate you and hopefully ease your mind.
My eyes are great but I saw floaters in both which caused anxiety. Doc isn't worried. Now I see starbursts and blurred vision in right eye. Anxiety?
Blurred vision: Blurred vision is not normal. When there is unexplained vision issues esp in one so young, I always check for the presence of mold toxins. Get checked
Floaters, blurred vision, headaches and tenderness in temple around left eye - blind in right eye from birth. Eye tests ok - any ideas as to causes?
Check sed rate: You are a bit young for this but I'd check an ESR (sedimentation rate). If elevated consider temporal arteritis. Typically the temporal artery is nodular and tender. The diagnosis is confirmed with a biopsy of a small slice of the artery. One can see scalp tenderness with migraine but it does not typically present in the 5 the decade. See an eye doc ASAP: Any new onset floaters with decreased vision requires a dilated examination with an eye doctor immediately. Though it is often only floaters (a normal change that causes the gel in the back of the eye to develop small cracks), it must be differentiated from a retinal hole, tear or detachment - which all require immediate treatment. I went to eye doc a month ago for floaters. Eyes were fine. Now I see starbursts in both eyes and blurred vision in right. Anxiety?
See a neurologist: These symptoms may represent anxiety, a specific kind of headache or other neurological condition. You should keep a log of the location, timing, duration, characteristic, and intensity of these episodes and take the log with you to a neurologist. Https://www. Aan. Com/Guidelines/Home/ByTopic? Doc found a black spot behind my eye said it could be a freckle sending me for 2nd opinion. Seeing floaters n blurry vision eyepain is this normal?
No: The eye pain and floaters are probably not related to the 'freckle' and are not normal. A choridal nevus is a freckle in the choroid the layer under the retina covering the inside of the eye. Most are benign but need to be monitored. A retinal exam and a bscan ultrasound can give clues if it is a melanoma (malignant tumor). A second opinion is a good idea in this case.See 1 more doctor answer
No: They are not related to each other. You can have perfectly clear vision, and still have floaters. Floaters are just shadows created by opacities floating within the eye. It is possible that you could have so many floaters that they literally block your vision, but that is not common.See 1 more doctor answer
Does a pituitary tumor cause lightheadedness, headache and blurry vision and increased floaters? What are the symptoms?
Possible: You obviously need an examination with visual field testing by your eyecare physician. With that data doc could address your questions. Pituitary tumors require medical team approach. Not internet info.
Experiencing visual changes since gallbladder removal 8 months ago. Floaters becoming more frequent, blurred vision, light sensitivity/weak feeling?
Unrelated to GB: Your eye symptoms are not likely to be related to the removal of your gallbladder. See your local ophthalmologist (eye doctor) for a detailed evaluation.
I'm 16 and I have eye floaters in both eyes. The eye doc didn't see anythimg and wasn't worried. What could cause this? I have perfect vision too.
Cells or Vitreous: Floaters are either comprised of cells or components of the gel like substance inside the eye called Vitreous Humor. What you are actually seeing is the shadows cast by the floaters on your retina. I am glad you have seen your eye doctor. Here is a good website that explains it further: http://www. Webmd. I have floaters, and I see ghosting around bright text on screens, I see halos around lights, and I sometimes see minor blurry vision.?
Floaters: It sounds as if you have had a posterior vitreous detachment. This is a situation where the vitreous (jelly) of the eye detaches (not a retinal detachment), it then "crumples" up leaving dots, spots, strands of blurry vitreous; i.e. The "floater". You should have an exam to ensure the incident did not tear the retina, which could lead to a retinal detachment. Wait one year then consider surgery.See 1 more doctor answer
