Is there any possibility that ingredients of nasal sprays go into the eyes and cause problem? Like when eye drops drain into nose and throat?

Is there any possibility that ingredients of nasal sprays go into the eyes and cause problem? Like when eye drops drain into nose and throat?

Eye/nose connection: Eye drops drain with gravity down the lacrimal ducts into the nose. Ear drops thru Eustachian tubes also drain with gravity into the nose. Nasal drops and aerosols can't work up into the eye (or ear) against gravity like your home plumbing - it's one way. However, a bone defect between nose and orbit (like from fracture or surgery) can cause air or medication from nose into orbit around eye.

I can taste eye drops in throat and nose. Is it dangerous for me to shallow things while having this taste?

I can taste eye drops in throat and nose. Is it dangerous for me to shallow things while having this taste?

Not a problem: There is a plumbing system connecting your tear flow with the inside of the nose. Eyedrops of certain types can be tasted. Consider that anything approved to be put in the eye will have no toxicity in the rest of the body. So there is no danger at all in this; don not worry a bout it.

Nasal drainage: Such nasal drainage could be vasomotor rhinitis, allergic rhinitis or of sinus origin. Since this is a chronic, persistent problem for you, I recommend an evaluation by an otolaryngologist for diagnosis and treatment.

Time to see a doctor: It's best to have a physician evaluate the problem and see exactly what type of infection you have. Then he/she can prescribe treatment.

Don't think so.: Not sure what you mean. Chronic rashes occur wherever they may without general regard to lymph drainage. The lymph node drainage of the head is generally symmetric.

My neurologist says ER visit or primary doctor. Eye hurts/draining, ear ringing/pop, neck pop, bad vertigo w/nausea, headache. What could be causing?

My neurologist says ER visit or primary doctor. Eye hurts/draining, ear ringing/pop, neck pop, bad vertigo w/nausea, headache. What could be causing?

Ear infection: Bad vertigo (room spinning) can cause nausea. Vertigo suggests inner ear infection. Ear ringing/popping suggests eustachian tube dysfunction if no pain or middle ear infection if painful. Eyes hurting/draining could be conjunctivitis. Depending upon site of headache, could be sinus pressure from upper respiratory infection causing all above. I'd vote for going to see your family doc but I'm biased.

Why does it burn when I put eye drops in?

Why does it burn when I put eye drops in?

PH difference: If the drop is not exactly the same pH (acid-base level) as your eye it will burn. Also, when eyes dry out the concentration of solids in tears (osmolarity) is different than the drops and that difference causes burning.

Why did my eyes burn when I put eye drops in my eyes?

Any eye drops: Can cause irritation, especially with certain "get the red out" drops. Some patients are particularly sensitive to the preservatives in eye drops. You might want to try preservative-free lubricanat drops to see if that helps.
