Can Excess Calcium Cause Dizziness
I recently went to the doctor and was informed that I had high blood calcium. What does this mean? Can this be the cause of my dizziness for so long?
Many causes, no but: The most common cause of high serum calcium is hyperparathyroidism, a benign growth of the parathyroid glands. Mild elevations cause no symptoms but higher levels can cause fatigue ; depression. Dizziness is not a known symptom. See http://www. Nlm. Nih. Gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000365.Htm a good doctor should have explained this to you; if yours did not I advise you find a new one if possible.See 1 more doctor answer

No: Sx of low vit d includes soft bones (osteomalecia), bone and muscle aches/pains. Dizziness and craving sweets may be a sign on low blood sugar a separate issue.See 1 more doctor answer
What causes chronic fatigue, nausea, loss of appetite, dizziness, blurred vision and overall achiness. Blood tests. Low vit d/b12, high calcium/pth?
Those things can,,,: All the things you mentioned can give you many of those symptoms. Vit B12 deficiency especially can do it. The high PTH is a concern also as it can mean a possible adenoma, so it would be smart to see your doctor for therapy to correct your deficiencies and find out why the ca/pth is high. Best of luck.
Drug related effect: Taking trileptal (oxcarbazapine) with food / calcium are not the cause for you being dizzy. Dizziness is one of the common side effects reported with trileptal. Its occurrence is ~22-28% and it is the side effect most commonly associated with stopping therapy. This is dose related, thus reducing dose may alleviate symptoms. Muscle paralysis (numbness) has also been reported). Talk with your doctor.

Why do I feel breathless, dizzy, shaky and weak when GERD attacks? Is these normal to feel if you have gerd? I take Tums (calcium carbonate) at night but it only helps abit
GERD ; Lungs: Gerd can cause pulmonary symptoms such as triggering asthma or even causing pneumonitis. These can be worsened if one has a hiatal hernia or other anatomical problems. If you are experiencing these symptoms or frequent gerd, it is important that you see your doctor and adequately treat your gerd. For most, lifestyle modification can help alleviate gerd but many others need treatment.See 1 more doctor answer
Hyperparathyroidism? MS? No balance, migraines, bone pain, dizzy, lightheaded, high calcium levels, low D levels, chronic fatigue, memory loss, etc.
High calcium: This is probably not MS. The symptoms are not that particular to MS. Calcium levels should be normal in MS. How high is your calcium level? That can lead to several of these symptoms. If this is too high, perhaps treatment and/or referral to an endocrinologist is indicated.See 1 more doctor answer
Recent thyroid blood results are T4 21, T3 (liothyronine) 5.6, and my calcium is normal. I feel worse than ever? Dizziness, fatigue, muscle pain and tearful. Help?
Many symptoms: Please have your mother and/or father take you to a Primary doctor to sort out the problems you have. Why was the thyroid and calcium studies performed? More important, why hasn't anyone discuss this with you and your parents? Please let me know how things are going.
Pain in bones-bottom of feet- worst after resting. Having hard time walking (pain)in feet & legs, hands. Fatigue, dizzy low vit d b12 calcium iron?
Foot pain: After resting is typically unrelated to a vitamin deficiency, however there can always be exceptions. A thorough history and physical will give you the proper diagnosis and treatment plan and hopefully get you pain-free.
Lots of things: Please see your doctor about this right away. The possibilities include some form of chronic disease be it intestinal, thyroid, cancer, depression, etc. The list is very lengthy and you need an evaluation.
Excessive burping, light headedness and cold sweats after shower. Dizzy feeling when lying back. Can tumor in colon cause excessive burping?
No: Hi Sorry to hear you have been struggling with these symptoms. This isn't related to a tumor in your colon - the colon is too far down the digestive tract to directly cause burping (burping comes from the stomach), but your symptoms are broad enough that you should probably have an in depth discussion with a doctor, either in person or through HealthTap. Hope this helps.
What is dizziness?: Dizziness is a non-medical term, which is vague & non-diagnostic because it means many different things. Common meanings such as lightheadedness, floating, near-fainting, spinning are well-known but there at least 50 other descriptions of this non-descript word. What is your "dizziness"?
