Had a ruptured cyst. Still struggling with peeing and constipation. I have to push to pee. Could this be a sign that I may have endometriosis?
Unclear: A ruptured cyst should not cause any problems with urination or constipation. These issues should be evaluated separately. These symptoms do not indicate endometriosis although you certainly could still have that. I have been suffering from an almost constant constipation since a colonoscopy that happened a month and a half ago. Is it normal? I do have ibs, ms, endometriosis, andhypothyroidism. I have been using miralax (polyethylene glycol).
Med side effect?: Drugs that slow motility (like certain medications for ibs) could cause constipation. Most pain meds also do. Some antidepressants also. As mentioned your thyroid level needs to be normal. Otherwise, the key to constipation is eating a lot of fiber and staying well hydrated. Not likely: 20's female w. painful periods, IBS symptoms, vomiting, & dyspaerunia speculates "endometriosis". Endo is a fashionable label beset w. symptom/physiologic speculations. IMO endo treatments cause iatrogenic exacerbation. Differential diagnosis mandates consult w. Gastroenterologist, Gynecologist, & Osteopath.
