Constipation: Switching to protonix instead of nexium (esomeprazole) may stimulate your bowels. Taking zantac at the same time is unnecessary. To promote bowel movements drink adequate fluids including hot water((not too hot), include fiber in your diet and try a daily dose of senokot as a stimulant. Not an allergy: Stomach cramps suggest lactose intolerance (LI) which develops when the small intestine does not make enough lactase, the enzyme needed to digest the lactose found in dairy products. Symptoms include nausea, diarrhea, cramps, bloating & gas. Your icon suggests you are black; LI is much more common in those of African descent. Not best choice: Not all almond milk is gluten free. Check the label. Almond milk is very low in protein and fat which growing children may need. It can be high in sugar too.
