Back pain : I can only think of kidney stones and muscle tightness and cramps that cause back pain. Constipation can only cause back pain if you are straining really hard and tense your back muscle while hunched over that can cause back pain. I would see a if stool softeners or higher fiber can help with the constipation. If it continues, then see a specialist. ...Read more

Taking narcotics?: I am assuming that the back pain and headaches came first and the constipation followed... If that hunch is right then I am going to assume that your medications include some opioid like vicodin. This would certainly cause constipation and is a poor choice for either headache or chronic back pain. If you have not already done so, consider seeing a spine specialist or neurologist for back and head. ...Read more
