Wow...: Were you told the cause of your pancreatitis? If known, you should know. The shrinking duct is a good sign but not the only sign of healing, which could take a while. And a "chronic" (your word) condition is usually not cured (or it wouldn't be chronic) but usually managed. Be dutiful in managing this.
