Can Chlamydia Be Cured Without Antibiotics
No, men should be: Treated with antibiotics just as women are.
Chlamydia is a curable sexually transmitted infection that is caused by the bacteria chlamydia trachomatis. This bacteria infects mucous membranes of the urethra, vagina, cervix, anus, rectum, eyelid, and throat. Chlamydia may be asymptomatic but some patients experience pain or burning during urination, nausea, fever, vaginal discharge, ...Read more
Azithro, doxy: You're in Ukraine, right? Get professionally evaluated if possible. Chlamydia, nongonococcal urethritis (NGU), and to some extent gonorrhea cause similar symptoms, and gonorrhea requires different treatment. The main treatments for chlamydia and NGU are azithromycin 1 gram, single dose; or doxycycline (or another tetracycline) for 7 days.See 1 more doctor answer
I have never had: Chlamydia. However, as a physician I have seen patients who responded well to one dose antibiotic treatment.
Need antibiotics: Not only do you need antibiotics to cure it but all partners you have had need to be treated. Left untreated chlamydia infections can lead to infertility due to scarring of the fallopian tubes. Also if not treated you will spread the infection to future partners. Males are often asymptomatic or only have brief symptoms of burning on urination. Untreated males will also spread the infection.See 1 more doctor answer
I was cured from chlamydia, I got the antibiotic shot like a couple of weeks ago. Had sex last week, do you think the antibiotics are still in my system?
The original: Antibiotics you took will not protect you from becoming subsequently infected with chlamydia.
ONE TO TWO WEEKS: After taking the full course of antibiotics like 2 gram of azithromycine it may take 1to2 weeks to clear the infection completely. If you deliver the baby before that the baby has increased risk of conjunctivitis and pneumonia even if delivered by c section and has to be promptly treated for that. Before you resume sex your sexual partner also needs to be treated for it.

How long does it take for the treatment to cure it 100% and how long do we have to wait to have sex again? Ok my girlfriend was told that she had an early case of chlamydia, and her doctor gave her the antibiotics to get treated. She took them last wedne
You: You should not have sex until 7 days after you both were treated. If you both were treated with the single dose antibiotic last wednesday, then you can have sex again this wednesday without fear of re-infection. If you were on the 10 day course of antibiotics, then you have to wait 7 days from when you finished the antibiotics. Below, I linked to a website from the center for disease control that gives more in-depth information about chlamydia.
When I had chlamydia, if I would have had PID would this have been cured with the same antibiotic I took to treat chlamydia? Azithromycin?
Azithro will cure it: Assuming you had no symptoms of PID (abdominal pain, fever, etc) then the standard treatment for chlamydia, such as a single dose of azithromycin, would cure you. All people with chlamydia should have a follow-up test in 3-4 months, which picks up both reinfection and rare treatment failures. But you needn't worry about PID. If in doubt, check with your local NHS GUM clinic for expert care.
Could I have cervicitis? In january I took antibiotics for chlamydia. I felt fine and cured but had some vaginal itchiness. (i did not have sex for two weeks and took a one dose prescription, so I followed everything correctly). I went in to get re-checke
You: You should definitely be reevaluated by your doctor. You could be dealing with a bacterial, or yeast infection, and possibly even an std that is causing irritation and bleeding of your vaginal mucosa (tissue). Also if there is a possibility that you are pregnant, please take a pregnancy test. Take care.
I took the antibiotic Azithromycin for chlamydia and on the 6th day my partner and I had sex is it cured my partner gotten treatment for it too
Took azithromycin (1g in one go) against chlamydia 5 days ago. Discharge has been reduced and almost colorless, sting persists while urinating. Am I being cured or need more/different antibiotics?
Chlamydia: One gram of Azithromycin is usually all that is needed for chlamydia. However where there is one std, there can be others like gonorrhea. If you were specifically tested and only chlamydia was present, that is probably all that you need to do. The irritation can last up to a week to 10 days as you are healing for the infection. As long as you are doing a little better every day, you can wait.See 2 more doctor answers

Herpes?: This is too complex for a clear on this sort of forum. Keep working with your doctors. If not under the care of a genitourinary medicine (GUM) or infectious diseases specialist, that might be worthwhile. Also, make sure you were tested for herpes, which could cause such symptoms. Good luck!
