Just wondering if it could be carpal tunnel syndrome, although in neck and shoulder I'm thinking probably not, right?
Where is pain: If you can try to re post your question as its not clear. I am assuming that you have neck and shoulder pain and are wondering if it could be carpal tunnel. It is possible for a pinched nerve to cause pain in the arm down to the hand but usually carpal tunnel does not cause neck pain. if you see a neurologist they can do a nerve study test to confirm diagnosis and start occupational therapy. 1. It really is carpal tunnel
2, there are no other illness such as inflammatory disorders, rheumatoid, lyme etc
3, there are no endocrine or metabolic issues such as thyroid disease or diabetes etc
4. Some inborn problems with nerves and fat deposition

Suspecting Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, I applied strong pressure (Pinch) for a couple seconds on the median nerve area. Will that cause any perm. Damage?
Yes: Any activity where the wrist is moving up and down or if it is held in a bent position for a long time can put added pressure on the median nerve and thereby cause symptoms of tingling, numbnes, and pain i.E carpal tunnel symptoms. Location: Carpal tunnel syndrome will have tingling in the hand in the palm surface of the thumb, index, middle and 1/2 of the ring finger. It is usually not associated with pain above the elbow, but it can. Neck pain and weakness are usually signs of a pinched nerve in the neck and not carpal tunnel syndrome.
