I have a calcaneal spur. We have tried several dextrose injections, a walking boot and a soft cast and I am still in pain. Should I have the surgery?
What is a dextrose : Injection supposed to do? If the condition is purely biomechanical, conservative treatment should work, unless there is something else wrong like perhaps a partial tear of the plantar fascia or stress reaction or fracture of the heel bone. Refer to answer: Usually patella tendonitis is due muscle power disproportion. Unfortunately what most physical therapist concentrate on quad exercise. Buy a pair of ankle weights of 20 lbs. Put it on her ankle. Lie on stomach and do back ward leg exercises 100 set per day. Twice a day each time for 15 minutes put ice pack on patella tendon.
