It's tough: You can start keeping track of and observing your cervical mucus discharge- the peak production of slippery clear mucus typically signals ovulation. You are most likely to conceive during the 5 days before ovulation and the day of ovulation. You can also use ovulation kits from the store which detect your Luteinizing Hormone levels in your urine and can tell you exactly what day you're ovulating. ...Read more

Period started 3 days early and is lasting through inactive pills in birth control pack, could caffeine/stress cause this? Been on pill for 6 months

BTB bleeding: Break through bleeding, esp towards the end of the active pills is not uncommon. Make sure there were no missed pills, and there is no significant variation in when they are taken. Bleeding through the inactive pills is what is expected. If there were missed pills, start the new pack on day 3 or 4 and use protection for the month (condom use always recommended for other benefits/protection) ...Read more

Does consuming caffeine for a period of time cause our body to become warm? Today my feet were very hot while walking and I felt sleepy during daytime

Caffeine: Consuming caffeinated beverages can have several potential outcomes. It really depends on how it affects you personally. A good piece of advice is not to drink caffeine and access. Others, due to unwanted side effects, should just avoid caffeine altogether. However, your symptoms sound a little bit strange and I recommend a thorough evaluation with physician when it is convenient for you. I wish you the best ...Read more

Could breast pain develop in one breast after being on birth control for 4 months? 1-2 weeks before period. Could caffeine cause random breast pain?

Yes: It is possible for one breast to be more sensitive slight hormonal changes than the other. This is much more common in patients with fibrocystic breast disease. Make sure you see your physician for a breast exam if symptoms don't improve. ...Read more

How many Monster Energy Drinks (caffeine 166 mg) (taurine 2000 mg) (vitamin B12 590%) (vitamin B6 220%) in a 8 hour period is considered dangerous?

Two would be tops: For the whole day. Up to 400 milligrams (mg) of caffeine a day appears to be safe for most healthy adults. That's roughly the amount of caffeine in four cups of brewed coffee, 10 cans of cola or two "energy shot" drinks. Although caffeine use may be safe for adults, it's not a good idea for children. ...Read more

Check in 1 week: Anytime vaginal bleeding is abnormal, in length, symptoms, or timing, check a pg test to be sure (if you are sexually active and have not had surgical sterilization). Repeat in a week & if negative, and you miss another period, see your doc to find out why. Follow the instructions on the kit, & be sure it has not expired, too. Also, infections can occur, if you are at risk of pregnancy. See MD. ...Read more

Does wine and caffeine affect periods? Like stopped or make it lighter?

Unlikely: Unless you are drinking in large quantities (in which case you have other issues besides light periods) it is unlikely that wine or caffeine will cause menstrual irregularities. I see that you are trying to conceive - in which case you should refrain from alcohol and large amounts of caffeine anyway. Good luck ...Read more
