Treatment for: H. pylori is usually 3 drugs (2 antibiotics and PPI) for 2 weeks for highest response rate. Antibiotics are usually amoxicillin and Biaxin (clarithromycin). Alternative antibiotic is Flagyl used alone, but this has lower response rate. Only way to know for sure whether Flagyl alone was enough to successfully eradicate H. pylori is to test before and after your treatment. ...Read more
