It depends: Just as emotional stress can interfere with ovulation, so can the stress of physical illness. Once those changes resolve, ovulation will occur and your period will come again. Get a check up: May need to get labs for hypothyroid. Also need to use safe sex methods to prevent pregnancy if not wanting to get pregnant and protect yourself from sexually transmitted diseases in the future.
Labs for hypothyroid are done by checking the blood. I would get a TSH and free T4.
