Not cancer: What you describe does not at all suggest lung cancer. If you often jump to such dire conclusions, it would be beneficial to address your anxiety by seeing a psychologist.

Check it please: Please see a doctor about it Could be caused by some problems of concerns like pneumothorax (puncture of the lung) or a clot (pulmonary embolism) so please get it checked

Difficulty breathing: Acute difficulty breathing requires an urgent visit to the doc. This could indeed be the flu but if it has progressed to this stage it certainly needs evaluation.

Be seen: Certainly would need to be seen and thoroughly evaluated, a good medical checkup is a good place to start. Shortness of breath can have multiple potential causes. Cardiac and pulmonary conditions need to be ruled out.

Anxiety: I understand your concern. Stresses of hip osteotomy, gall bladder surgery most likely have caused anxiety. Other stresses-relationships, concern about pregnancy and finances can cause various physical symptoms. It is not what you eat it is what is eating you! You're too young @26: You're too young @ 26y to be taking 2 major sedatives like Ativan and MS-Contin. What were they prescribed for? What symptoms are you having? Both Ativan & MS-Contin can impair breathing (as you recognized), increase sleepiness, & cause problems operating a vehicle. Are you sure you know how the combination will affect you?
